Dr. Raver has strong ties to Central Pennsylvania. Born in York County he graduated from Dallastown Area High School and Lebanon Valley College. Following graduation with honors from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, he entered the United States Army Dental Corps and completed a dental practice residency at Moncrief Army Hospital in Columbia, South Carolina. Dr. Raver completed his tour of duty as clinical chief at McNair Dental clinic in Berlin, Germany as part of the Berlin Brigade. Returning home to Central Pennsylvania, Dr. Raver worked as an associate in Camp Hill and subsequently opened his own office in Shiremanstown in 1988. He has greatly enjoyed providing individualized dental care to Shiremanstown and the greater Harrisburg area.
Dr. Raver is a current member of the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Harrisburg Area Dental Society and the Susquehanna Valley Implant Study Club. He is happily married and he and his wife are immensely proud parents of their two daughters.

My hygienist Leigh, is very gentle when cleaning my teeth. She is always optimistic and greets me with a smile. Highly recommend her for cleaning your teeth.

Everything went very well, as I was hoping. I need and enjoy the Family Setting and ease of a very professional medical service. Everyone was very personable and went about their tasks and explained each and every step. Keep up the Great Attitude and enthusiasm and professionalism. Front office staff were very friendly and will work with you/your insurance. I have VERY sensitive teeth and hate cleanings, but the dental hygienist is one of the best I've encountered--not only was she very thorough in her cleaning, she explained the why's of everything and oh so gentle. Office very clean, easy parking. Definitely recommend.

Been coming to Dr Ravers since I was 6 years old. Never had a reason to go anywhere else. Service and staff have always been and continue to be excellent. Cannot recommend him enough.

Had a new to me hygienist,Lee. She was wonderful!!! All his girls are very nice. I had told Lee that I was on a tight schedule today & she made sure that I got out in time.

Dr. Raver has been my dentist since 1997, and he is absolutely the best! He is the most gentle, caring, and skilled dentist I have ever met. Unfortunately I have very soft teeth so have required extensive dental work, and Dr. Raver is highly skilled at doing crowns and bridgework! Kathy, his assistant, is very calm and highly skilled. Leigh is very friendly and is an expert at teeth cleaning. I highly recommend this practice!

The whole staff is wonderful, they take their time and are very patient with you. I had been afraid of going to a dentist for a long time and when I'm there I feel at ease. I highly recommend them if you are looking for a new dentist.

I got two crowns Friday. Dr. Raver was exact with his timing. Gentle and kind as always and thorough. Kathy, his assistant always puts me at ease. They're like family to my husband and me for years now. And as an added bonus, Dr. Raver will hum to you the entire time! Takes you mind off all that drilling!

Been with Dr Raver and his practice for years now for myself and 3 children who are now adults. Best I've experienced my whole life! Skilled like an artisan, and he keeps up with the technology improvements and science; and great affect also. Hope he never retires !!! Excellent. Simply the best, dentist and staff. Dr Raver is the best!! Very conscientious and gentle. A dentist that you can trust. He has put a crown on one of my molars and refilled an old filling in another molar, along with other dental work. Never a problem. I would highly recommend to anyone who has become very disappointed with poor dental care

I was greeted by office staff and taken care of promptly at the scheduled time of my appointment. My procedure involved removal of old fillings and additional work to remove decay before replacing the deteriorated fillings with good new ones. The effort on the part of Dr. Raver and his assistant Kathy was considerable, as they worked as an efficient team. I had zero pain due to the careful administration of local anaesthetic. My comfort was key to the dentist. I was advised what to do to care for the area of my gums and teeth for the next day or two. Well done, overall.
