He received his dental degree from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1993. He moved to Florida that same year and practiced in Port Charlotte before bringing his skill and talent to Naples in 1997.
Devoted to education, Dr. Makram continually strives to enhance his service offerings. He has taken countless hours of continuing education at some of the most distinguished dental institutions in the world. He is a graduate of the Advanced Prosthetic and Surgical Program at Temple University as well as the prestigious Misch International Implant Institute. He has also completed numerous advanced courses at the Seattle Institute for Advanced Dental Education.
Dr. Makram is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, and Collier County Dental Association, as well as a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Digital X-rays emit 90% less radiation compared to traditional radiography. The images are immediately available for viewing on chairside monitors and are a great educational tool to help patients partner in treatment planning. In addition, we can electronically transmit the pictures to specialists and insurance companies and easily store them for future reference.
During your checkup, we'll use a tiny, hand-held camera to take pictures inside your mouth, then transmit the images to a chairside monitor. Dr. Makram will explain his findings and partner with you to determine treatment.
In the past, if you needed a decayed or broken tooth repaired with a dental crown, most dental offices would have to take an impression of the tooth and send it off to an outside lab to actually fabricate the restoration. As you can imagine, this added quite a lot of time to the procedure. With Dr. Makram, however, he brings the lab to you! CEREC technology allows him and our team to scan your tooth, design your crown, mill it in the dental office, and place it into your mouth all in an hour or so. There are no messy impressions or unreliable temporaries. You simply walk in, and youll leave with a completely revitalized tooth!
LANAP stands for Laser Assisted New Attachment Procedure, and it offers a faster and less invasive way to treat gum disease. Instead of opening up the gum tissue so tartar and bacteria can be scraped away, this laser is able to painlessly clean periodontal pockets (small spaces located between the teeth and gums)and help the blood in the area clot so the gums are able to heal quickly and firmly reattach to the teeth. There are no incisions or sutures necessary with this treatment, making it very easy for a patient to remain comfortable while in the chair.
Dr. Makram uses comfortable air abrasion instead of a dental drill to remove small amounts of decay and prepare teeth for restoration. Air abrasion sprays a stream of compressed air and tiny silica particles to gently clean tooth surfaces of unwanted material. This is so gentle that most patients don't require anesthetic, which means no shot!
Our entire staff adheres to stringent sterilization techniques. We sterilize reusable instruments after each use, disinfect treatment rooms between patients, and use disposable products whenever possible. Each member of our team wears disposable gloves during exams and treatments.

My wife, whose father was a dentist, DDS, selected Dr. Makram when we first moved down to Naples In July, 2021. My first experience was with Dr. Makram replacing a crown where the root stub it was attached to had broken. His approach of putting in a peg for the crown was a much better approach and should have been done in the first place. We both have since had crowns replaced (decay underneath) and have been very satisfied with the quality of the work. Wife particularly appreciates the thorough, but painless cleanings.

I had a tooth extraction and bone graft performed and Dr Makram and his staff made for as pleasant an experience as possible under the circumstances. Actually I NEVER had pain from the procedure which is amazing. Thus I have to conclude that Dr Makram did an outstanding job performing the procedure. I also appreciate that he explains the procedure and what is going to take place and what you are going to feel before he starts. Very pleasant and professional environment. Highly recommend them.

Nice experienced staff and knowledgeable Dentist with high tech equipment. Quality work was obvious during my visit. I had 2 Crowns done on this visit which was a long process, but effective. I haven't had any issues with my new Crowns thus far. I recommend this Dental Office as you will be happy with the work done here.

Dr. Makram has been my dentist for over 8 years and I couldn't be happier. The office is beautiful and clean with all the latest modernized technology. I have needed many procedures such as crowns and implants and have never felt any pain! Dr. Makram and all his staff are so friendly and knowledgeable, always making sure you are comfortable. Dr Makram has done a crown and an implant for me. His skill, perfectionism, and use of technology leads to a prosthetic tooth that fits perfectly and feels completely natural immediately. No grinding, adjusting, modifying other contact teeth. Just a new tooth that feels just like the old one. Amazing.

I started seeing Dr. Makram a year ago and it is the best thing I did. He and every one of his staff is professional and friendly. The office is very clean and efficient. He explains everything and is conscious of your pain. The fact that he creates a crown in the office and you don't have to wait a week is great!

Every visit to Dr. Makram's office is a pleasant visit. The waiting area is tastefully decorated, spotless, and comfortable but you will never find yourself spending much time there because appointments are always prompt. The front desk manager, Vevian is delightful! She purposely takes the time to engage patients in meaningful conversation and is genuinely interested in everything you share with her. Dr. Makram and his dental hygienists are superior in their knowledge, skill, and care. The office technology is cutting edge and they use an impressive text messaging system for you to confirm or cancel your appointment. Kudos to Dr. Makram and his entire professional team!

Dr Makram is the best dentist I have gone for dental services. The staff is kind, caring and professional. I trust Dr Makram. If I get anxious during the procedure he will ask if I am ok and stop until I am ready for him to proceed. It appears his office has the state of the art technology.
