To maximize your familys safety, we use digital X-rays that expose patients to about 80 to 90 percent less radiation than traditional radiographs. The detailed digital images, along with intraoral photos of your teeth and gums, will be used in diagnosis. Dr. Harris can show you exactly where problems exist in your mouth, explain why they need to be addressed, and provide options for treatment. Hell work with you to plan a practical plan that will benefit your oral health, overall health, and appearance.
A Portland native, Dr. Harris attended the University of Oregon for his undergraduate studies. In 1993, he graduated from the Oregon Health Sciences University with his DMD. Following graduation, Dr. Harris moved home to La Grande and began as an associate to Dr. Lynn Harris. He opened his private practice in 2000 where he provides comprehensive general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry, as well as sleep apnea therapy.
Dr. Harris is dedicated to bringing the best of modern dentistry to La Grande. To that end, he regularly exceeds the requirement for continued education courses, and he holds membership with several prestigious dental organizations. Hes one of only 7 percent of dentists nationwide to earn his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry, one of the most rigorous continuing dental education awards offered today.
Truly devoted to his craft, Dr. Harris loves creating new smiles for our patients, helping alleviate sleep apnea, and everything about general dentistry. He and his wife, Linda, have five children. When he has spare time, Dr. Harris enjoys sports, reading, and spending time with his family.

Dr. Harris became my dentist 5 years ago. Mark is the most capable dentist I've ever had in my mouth in 70 years. He's kind, thoughtful and a decent hard working man. I recommend him.

Absolutely the worst office staff I've ever dealt with. Dentist can't be much better if he hired them. No wonder the parking lot is always empty.

We have been going to Dr Harris for 20 years and have always been treated with care, professionalism and courtesy. The staff is friendly and Dr Harris is an excellent dentist. He is very attentive and friendly. We have since added three children to the mix who have been his patients since they were babies. We moved away from La Grande 17 years ago, but continue to make the trip back every 6 months because we did not want to lose Dr Harris as our dentist.

Dr. Harris and his staff are always great! Dena at reception is always so friendly and Hayden in the back is super personable. Dr. Harris has bent over backwards to help me with getting my smile back and I'd highly recommend him to anyone! They really take the time to make sure you understand what's going on with your car whether it be billing, scheduling, or dental related.

As much as I despise going to the dentist, the Harris Family Dentistry staff and Dr. Harris make it bearable. I've had a couple of crowns put on and fillings with complete satisfaction.

I have recommended Harris Dentistry to several friends and family. I can't say enough good things about this practice. Everyone is friendly and helpful. In addition to excellent dental care, I got cosmetic overlays on my front teeth and they are beautiful. Far less costly than veneers. He is also very good with injections and love that he hums all the time! :)
