In private practice for over 25 years, Dr. Mele completed both an undergraduate degree in chemistry and a doctorate of dental medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. He finished his orthodontic residency at Temple University and for 17 years he was a faculty instructor at Temple School of Dentistry, Department of Orthodontics.
Dr. Mele is the long-time treasurer of the Greater Philadelphia Society of Orthodontists. He lives in Abington with his wife Colleen and their three daughters. Dr. Mele grew up in the Philadelphia area on a gentlemans farm caring for goats, sheep, assorted fruit trees and vegetable gardens.
Rosemarie (Ro) is the office clinical manager and is a proud native Philadelphian. A loving mother of four adult children, Ro enjoys her time with her grandchildren, the beach, fishing, kayaking, most sports, and lots of candy!
She is very blessed to be a stage 3B breast cancer survivor! Ro has assisted chairside with Dr. Mele for 24 years. Always willing to bring life experience and comic relief, she is a dear friend and devoted employee!
Terry joined Team Mele as an insurance coordinator back in 2002 after working for 17 years developing desktop applications for the insurance industry. She is currently the offices manager. A proud Penn State graduate, Terry lives in Hatboro with her husband Paul, son Philip, and furry companion Allie.
Outside of the office, Terry is a member of a local conference of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, an international charity that provides assistance to financially challenged and working poor in our local community. A soprano in the choir at St. Davids church, Terry also loves musical theater.
Linda has been an integral part of Dr. Meles team for over two decades. As an orthodontic assistant and sterilization expert, she enjoys transforming smiles. Linda loves Zumba classes and long walks with her dog Noah. Her bucket list includes participating in a 5K and the Broad Street Run.
Christie is our newest orthodontic assistant; she joined our team in 2020, after extensive general dentistry assistance experience. Christie is also a busy part-time Cosmetologist! A Philadelphia resident, she enjoys her summers relaxing in Wildwood, NJ. In her free time Christie she likes spending time with her family and friends going to sporting events....Go Sixers and NY Giants!
Sandi is a strong advocate for healthy aging and is often seen power walking around town. In her free time Sandi enjoys Sudoku and Words with friends (Scrabble). She also likes pizza Fridays, traveling to the New Jersey shore and kayaking with her daughter.
Claire is the newest member of Team Mele, joining the office in February 2018 as the Front Desk Coordinator. She lives in Willow Grove with her husband, Frank (Dr. Meles older brother) and their chocolate lab, Jake. Claire is Terrys sister.
When not at work, she is a novice ukulele enthusiast. Claire is the proud mother of two adult children and loving Granny to Enzo, the cat. She loves traveling, especially to Maho Bay on the beautiful island of St. John.

Terrific experience all around. EFFICIENTLY run office - VERY punctual. Kind and knowledgeable staff. Dr. Mele is very dedicated to his patients' success, is dedicated to best practice, and interacts in a personable yet very professional manner. Really, can't imagine a better orthodontist/office. And oh yeah, STRAIGHT TEETH! My kid's teeth have never looked better.

Excellent service from first appointment and it only gets better for each appointment on. I truly appreciate Dr. Mele and his staff for always taking care of me and keeping me in the loop throughout the whole process. I would 1000% recommend the services offered.

Dr. Mele runs a an excellent practice. Three of our daughters have had their braces through this practice. After seeing the great service and how pleased they were with their teeth I decided to do the same. 54 years of a bad bite, poor front teeth alignment and crooked smile were corrected in year. From the first time I stepped in for a consultation to the day I had my braces taken off, Dr. Mele and his team did an excellent job of explaining to me the process and what was occurring during each phase. Today I have a relaxed jaw, correct bite and a new smile. Thank you!

I'm on child # 4 getting braces. We live in Lansdale, but drive to Glenside to see Dr. Mele. He's done a great job with my children's teeth and he's much more reasonably priced than the orthodontists near me. I highly recommend him and the office staff is so friendly, too! It's now 2 years later from that review and my daughter got her braces off today! After 12 years I may be done visiting Dr. Mele's office, but he and his staff will not be forgotten as I look at my children's beautiful smiles!

Dr.Mele and his staff are amazing, they are very welcoming and warm. Dr.Mele is a fantastic ortho, he's a straight shooter with out being mean and he makes time to talk about your concerns and options. I was referred by a previous pt and I'm going to refer to him to everyone I know as well. I couldn't have asked for a better experience or a better outcome. Thank you to the whole staff.

I highly recommend Dr. Mele and his entire staff for their warm and caring personalities, and Dr. Mele's experience and patience in explaining all options and rationale for why he takes the approach he does. I've had all 3 of my children get their orthodontic work done by Dr. Mele, and have been highly satisfied with the thoughtfulness and quality of the work. The office staff are equally as professional, and very patient in explaining how the insurance will work and various payment options. They really try to be flexible and accommodate families' needs which is much appreciated!

Dr. Mele is the best. Just the best mix of warm and serious with the kids. He understands that ortho care is really the responsibility of the child. Keeps parents informed, but reinforces behaviors with child. We have been with Dr. Mele nearly TEN years and recommend him all the time. We love, love, love Dr. Mele and his staff!

In August of 2019, I became one of those "adults with braces" to fix my lifelong open bite. At the end of May 2021, I graduated from braces to a brand new smile. If you are looking for an amazing orthodontist with golden hands and a wonderful staff, I highly recommend Dr. Mark Mele in Glenside.
