Dr. Mark Harwood grew up in a small town in South East Kansas. Following graduation from Kansas State University he attended the University of Missouri Kansas City School of Dentistry receiving his DDS in 2002. He then completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency at Ft. Sill, OK while serving in the United States Army. In 2005 he completed his service and was honorably discharged. Having spent his summers in Oklahoma growing up he relocated to the Tulsa area. Dr. Harwood is a member of the American Dental Association, the Oklahoma Dental Association, and the Tulsa County Dental Society. He serves as a member of the UMKC School of Dentistry alumni board. Dr. Harwood regularly attends courses on the latest procedures and techniques. Dr. Harwood and his wife Ashley make their home in Coweta with their two children and two dogs who they love spending time with. In his free time Dr. Harwood enjoys fishing, boating, sports, and being outdoors.

Absolutely incredible, no corporate overhead, nice small office with 1 dentist and top equipment. He's doing with my insurance and a little cash what I could never afford anywhere else. Staff is truly nice.

I searched for a dentist close by that had great reviews due to my childhood "trauma" of having a lot of teeth pulled, others moved forward and sideways, anyway, it was very traumatic and has carried over into adulthood. My search brought me to Coweta Smiles.... My first visit, I was so nervous, and that's not a good description lol but By the time I was leaving, I was relaxed and not nervous at all, my second visit, anxiety was getting the better part of me, but thru their help, I was relaxed, had my procedure done, and walaaa, I'm walking out again, relaxed and feeling so much better. The team is wonderful! The dr is Amazing! And I now have a new found trust and appreciation for the dentist. If your are looking for a wonderful team to take care of you or your loved one, Coweta Smiles is your place!!

The staff are beyond friendly. They treat you as family when you come in and there work is super professional and they make sure to take care of you the best they can. I wouldn't want any other dentist to be my primary than coweta smiles.

Dr Harwood wrote note with me because I'm deaf. He took his time to make sure I understood what the plan is with my tooth. I appreciate his being patience with me. I've been his patient for years.

I had only been to "box store dentist" (large multiple dentists places) and was never relaxed. My first visit today was great. Dr Harwood is very personable and very willing to focus the care plan on what I want...not you need denture or $17,000 of work. I WILL BE BACK!

I couldn't ask for a more compassionate and professional dentist and assistants. I have had a bad phobia about going to the dentist in the past but not so much anymore. They go out of their way to make it a positive experience. I would recommend them to anyone.
