As a child growing up in Denver, CO, Dr. Givans family dentist was the uncle of his best friend in high school. This initial exposure proved that a career in dentistry could be very promising. While Dr. Givan was already attracted to the medical field, he also enjoyed working with his hands, problem-solving and piecing together puzzles, proving dentistry to be the perfect fit. Since 1978, hes been providing exceptional dental care to the communities in Fort Worth, TX and shows no signs of stopping any time soon.
Dr. Givan completed his undergraduate education at Texas Christian University, where he was also a varsity letterman in swimming. After earning his undergraduate degree, he began his dental schooling at the Baylor College of Dentistry. Soon after graduating, he opened his practice to the public that same year.
During his time at Baylor, he had the opportunity to teach part-time, which he did for about three years after graduating. This gave him not only additional exposure to dentistry, but the chance to work hands-on with students and help them with their dental education.
First in 2004 and then again from 2010 - 2019, Dr. Givan was named a top dentist in Ft. Worth Magazine, a distinction granted by his peers. He was also named top dentist in the state of Texas by Texas monthly in 2019.
Dr. Givan has been married to his wife for 44 years, who he met on a blind date while they were juniors in high school. They have a daughter and son who also have children of their own, making Dr. Givan a proud grandfather.
Charolette joined us in June 2020 and is the newest member to our team! She attended Tarrant County College and graduated with her AAS with a Buisness background in 2019. Outside dentistry she enjoys shopping and spending time with her family. Charolette has 3 beautiful children and the youngest being 3 months old. She spends most weekends at Baseball games and Competitive Cheer leading events for her children.
Shianne is the newest member to our team. She has been with us since April of 2019. She attended and obtained her dental assisting degree at Tarrant County College in 2013. She and her husband Mark have been married for 3 years and have a two year old son. Shianne enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activites.
Trinh has been practicing as a dental hygienist for 7 years, she graduated from Rose State College in Oklahoma City in 2013. She enjoys helping patients improve their overall health through oral hygiene and education. Trinh moved to the DFW area in 2015 when she got married. She enjoys making desserts, growing veggies in her garden, and working out at the gym.
Edith has been with Dr. Givan's office since July of 2015 and has been a registered dental assistant since 2013. Edith attended Tarrant county college for her associates degree. She continued her education with a degree in dental assisting at Kaplan College. In her spare time she enjoys watching movies and shopping. Best of all she loves to spend time with her son and husband.
Leslie has been with our office since August of 2018 and in the dental field since 2017. She is a graduate from the Texas Academy of Dental Assisting. When she's not at work she likes to spend time with her family.
