Mark attended dental school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and after graduating from dental school, he made the move to Alaska permanently with his wife and partner, Andrea. Mark has practiced in his own office here in Anchorage since 2000, but he has worked previously as a dental associate for a number of years. Mark is also proud to have worked at the Alaska Native Medical Center.
Mark is an avid outdoorsman. He spends many hours chasing steelhead with a flyrod and camping in remote corners around the state with his wife and two daughters. He also loves to ski and snowboard and follow Big Ten Conference sports!
Andrea attended dental school at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She went on to work with the U.S. Air Force for a year in a general practice residency before marrying Mark Silverman in 1996. Prior to opening this practice with her husband, she served as a general dentist for three years at Elmendorf Air Force Base.

I have never had a Dentist like I have now. Dr. Silverman and host entire staff are absolutely incredible.. To be greeted by name when you walk into the office is so cool. Especially the fact that they didn't take a photo to short cut that ability. The work.performed is ALWAYS top notch, professional and to the best needs of the patient. I could talk till I'm blue in the fade, but until you have that "true and 100%" caring and concerned feeling, you will never get it! Dr. Silverman, his Wife Andrea and the ENTIRE STAFF, are so incredible. Love this office to the moon and back!! Thanks for everything!!

2022: great staff, still no complaints. Open to suggestions and utilizing technology. 2011: Quick turn-around, chairs are comfortable and no needless stabbing of the face-hole. isn't even a dentist you have to lie to

Amber B is an absolute gem! Thorough, up-to-date on best practice, and expressed genuine care/insights surrounding dental hygiene. Amber seeks what I deem as "connective care", integrating personable and professional communication cohesively. The office staff is warm and friendly, accommodating my late arrival with grace. Didn't spend too much time with Dr. Mark (good sign I'd say), but kind and professional continued as the theme of this office.

I've been a patient here for 20 years. Drs Mark and Andrea offer great dental care and sound practices. The staff is awesome, hygienists and admins alike, a nice family atmosphere. I highly recommend this dental practice!

I have been seeing the Silvermans Since they first started their practice. I've seen them advance their techniques and they have always been Kind, Professional and Understanding. They keep a great staff with whom I have grown up and developed good relationships with as a client. They are classically trained doctors of dentistry and provide industry standard levels of care. The are the quintessential 'Mom & Pop' dentistry shop and are a great alaskan local business. Plus, Mark Silverman loves to chat about Alaskanly things. Be sure to schedule when he's not out on a fishing trip! Recommend 10/10. The only thing they could do better is accept Medicaid for life long patients... Which unfortuently has me leaving their office and finding care elsewhere.
