Dr. Mettry graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in Chicago, IL. While there, he earned special recognition from the American Society of Dentistry for Children through his work in the pediatric dentistry department.
After graduation, Dr. Mettry spent a year in a general practice residency at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. This allowed him to perfect dental skills that are necessary for a rural practice where specialists arent readily available.
In his spare time, Dr. Mettry has acted as a soccer referee at the local, state, high school, and collegiate levels.He also enjoys riding his motorcycle with friends and raising cattle, horses, and goats on a small farm with his wife.

Dr Mettry and his staff are hands down the best in Chickasha. Dr Mettry is very caring and patient with me and my fear of dentists. He explains what's going on and what he needs to do to fix it. His prices are reasonable. I would highly recommend him.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Each lovely person here is caring and compassionate, plus with a great sense of humor. HONEST. You won't be confronted with that 'used car salesman feeling', with someone trying to push an expensive treatment or procedure, as in some offices. Dr. Mettry is personable and considerate and he and his assistants are not only thorough, safety-first and detailed in their professional work, they somehow make it - dare I say - FUN? to be their patient. If I could give a negative score I would. The nurse was rude. Yelled at me to get out of the room while I was trying to encourage my daughter. I was honest with them that their dad does give them sugary drinks. And that she fights me to brush her teeth. Then said YOU need to brush their teeth. I said i do and she fights me. Then the doctor insulted me asking if their father is in the home. I've been married 7 years. Then I told them I want to leave and not finish the appointment. The nurse told me I can sit in the lobby. I said no I want to leave with my daughter. They tried to convince me to stay. Until I said I'll pay and leave then they were fine with me leaving. It's all about money. Horrible horrible manners.

I'm not someone who enjoys going to the dentist due to poor dental teaching in my childhood, my first ever trip to the dentist traumatized me. I'm very picky about my dental treatment. I don't want to spend a kings ransom and I don't want to be in pain. A nice smile is important to me. Today was the first time going to Dr. Mark Mettry's dental practice in Chickasha, Oklahoma. Everyone was so nice. Dr. Mettry really did a thorough exam if my mouth and my bite. Which no other dentist has ever done. If they had, I might not have some if the issues I have today at almost 64 years old. I go back next week to discuss treatment options. Stay tuned, I'll give another review after that. So far, I highly recommend!!!
