After earning his bachelors degree from Calvin College in 1983, Dr. Mark Zahn went on to earn his dental degree from the University of Michigan Dental School in 1987. In 1990, he obtained a dual masters degree in Periodontics and Restorative Dentistry from the Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies at the University of Michigan.
A lifelong resident of Ann Arbor, Dr. Zahn has been in private practice since 1990. He is a member of numerous professional organizations, including the American Dental Association, American Academy of Periodontology, Michigan Dental Association, Michigan Periodontal Alumni, Midwest Periodontal Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society, R.W. Bunting Periodontal Study Club,International Teamfor Implantologyand the Washtenaw District Dental Society. Additionally, he has been a Delegate with the Michigan Dental Association, President of the Washtenaw District Dental Society andPresidentof the R.W. Bunting Study Club and continues to be a board member. He is also committed to the education of future dentists as a member of the Deans Faculty and Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor with the University of Michigan School of Dentistry.
Dr. Zahn and his wife, Paula, have two daughters, Maria and Isabella. He often volunteers his time at his daughters school for dental education days. Away from the office, he enjoys music, restoring classic muscle cars and teaching Taekwondo, where he is a 4th-degree black belt (master).
