Dr. Unruh was born and raised in Enid, Oklahoma. He graduated as salutatorian from Drummond High School. His undergraduate work was done at the University of Oklahoma. After two and a half years in Norman, he was accepted to the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry located at the OU Health Science Center in Oklahoma City. He graduated dental school with distinction in 1995 and was accepted into the University of Oklahoma orthodontic program. After 27 months of orthodontic specialty training and research, he graduated from orthodontic school earning a Master of Science degree with a masters thesis entitled, Ankylosis of Primary Molars and Their Association with Agenesis of Premolars. He has successfully completed Phase I and Phase II written examination of the American Board of Orthodontics. In September 1997 he moved to Bartlesville, purchased Dr. Joe Welchs orthodontic practice in Bartlesville and purchased a satellite office in Independence, Kansas.
Dr. Unruh was married to his beautiful wife, Jennifer, in 1992 and now has two children, Brace and Braylee. He enjoys spending as much of his free time as possible with his family, especially at the lake and attending all of his childrens activities. His other primary interests are hunting and fishing. He has coached his sons basketball team and summer baseball teams from tee-ball to high school Babe Ruth. He is currently a deacon at his Christian Church and is a past board president of his church. He is also a past president of the Oklahoma Orthodontic Society.

Our staff is trained and skilled, and each member of our team has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

I cannot say enough good things!!! My daughter came in as a new patient to get a retainer and we were in and out within minutes. The staff was so helpful and friendly, and Dr. Unruh was amazing!

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Unruh and his staff! They have been nothing but professional, and friendly from the moment I walked through their door. I got my braces off yesterday and my teeth look AMAZING!! I can't thank them enough for helping give me the smile I've always wanted, and making this an easy and enjoyable process. The service at here is AWESOME! Not only did he make my teeth and my daughters teeth beautiful he goes above and beyond to keep them that way. He's made replacement retainers for all of us, almost always on short notice. He has always worked us in when we need it. The staff is friendly, professional and incredibly helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Unruh if you or someone you know need an orthodontist!

Dr. Unruh and his staff did amazing things for me! Not only did they make my teeth beautiful, but they were able to squeeze me in early so that I could get my braces off in time for graduation. This was a HUGE deal. Even though they were solidly booked, Dr. Unruh kept my best interests in mind. The staff at Dr. Unruh's office are always welcoming and friendly. I always look forward to my orthodontist appointments. I was SO happy to get my braces off, but the experience was bittersweet because I will miss visiting the office!! Had braces about 5 years ago. My teeth look great. Dr. Unruh did a GREAT job. I am very happy with my smile. He also did my son's and his teeth look great as well. I was very happy with our results and would tell all my friends and family to go to him.
