Dr. Mark Barr, DDS is an established dentist practicing in Columbus, Indiana since 1996. He earned both a Bachelor oF Science Degree and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from Indiana University. From the day he left his formal training, Dr. Barr has been committed to continuing his education in the field of dentistry. He has completed continuing education at several prestigious venues including:
Dr. Barrs education journey has always been focused on being able to better treat comprehensive dental health issues. He has always been focused on not only treating a problem, but focusing on why it happened in the first place, and thus preventing it from happening again. Being able to create and environment in the office to create and maintain a whole-wellness approach to dentistry is his goal.
Dr. Barr and his wife, Cristy, have three daughters that keep their lives filled with adventure! He has volunteered and even participated in many events that they are involved in. When he can, he likes to pursue his interests in travel, food, movies, cycling, watching auto racing, and citing obscure pop culture trivia.

Dr. Barr is very professional and courteous! Deanna Baker is a polite and thorough hygienist. I trust them with all of my dental care and would highly recommend them!

If you have fear from a bad experience, this is the place to come. I have been going to Dr. Barr for a couple years now. We have been doing several 4 hour sessions. When I first went to see him I had not been to a dentist for 4-5 years due to a really bad experience. He was very understanding of my situation and has walked me through the whole process of fixing most of my teeth. The first time I have ever had a root canal, I was a nervous wreck. A lot of friends were telling me about their bad experiences. Because of my nerves of getting any dental work done, he is able to sedate me with medication and gas for my long sessions. I woke up the next day from my root canal and couldn't tell I had anything done. That is how good he is. I never had any problems even days after. That goes for all the work I have had done. I still have a few sessions left. I know with the work that has been done, it has given me the confidence to smile and show my teeth again. Don't wait, make an appointment for a consultation, even if you have fears. He is very understanding of your situation and can talk to you about your options. We all need to be smiling. Let him give you the confidence to show your teeth again like he did for me.

I had avoided going to the dentist for several years due to COVID and general anxiety over dental work. Dr Barr and his staff did a wonderful job creating an environment that felt safe and relaxing. They wore masks the entire time. The office was meticulously kept. They were all very kind and reassuring and did not make me feel ashamed for having not attended to my dental health as I should. Thank you all! And yes, I'll be back in six months
