Dr. Babbitt is a native Californian. Born in Santa Monica and raised in San Diego, he has a true feel for the culture and the people here in Southern California. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a Bachelors Degree in Biology. Using his science background he went to Creighton Dental School in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Mark Babbitt has served Ventura County since 1996. Dr. Babbitt has studied dental implantology with the California Implant Institute and has served as the Chairman of the Dental Health Committee for the Santa Barbara-Ventura Dental Society. Recently Dr. Babbitt has implemented the use of a soft tissue laser in his practice. This allows oral tissues to be treated and begin healing much faster and with less postoperative pain than with the use of a scalpel. Dr. Babbitt has passed the laser exam from the iCLE (International Center for Laser Education) for diode soft tissue lasers use.
Dr. Babbitt is a member of many respected dental organizations such as; Santa Barbara-Ventura Dental Society, American Dental Association, California Dental Association. As former Chairman of the Dental Health Committee Dr. Babbitt organized dental health booths at the Ventura County Fair and 4th of July Street Fair as well as numerous classroom presentations to the youth of our county.
When he's not taking care of patients at the office, Dr. Babbitt enjoys nature and landscape photography. Highly recommend Mark A. Babbitt, DDS, who accepts Anthem and other insurance plans. Referred by Dr. Sones, who wasn't accepting new patients November 2021 - best referral ever! My initial impression: clients, smiling as they left his office, several longtime (including young man with special needs), all offered high praise. Really good first appointment with Dr. Babbitt, who strived to make me comfortable despite challenging injuries. And totally painless dentistry. Two weeks later, I chipped two front teeth. He restored them the next day in no time flat - and the teeth look flawless! Dr. Babbitt's knowledgeable, easy going - answered ALL my questions - and has an excellent staff. He developed the best and most cost-effective treatment plan for me. Rate 10+ out of 10!

I am so happy with Dr. Babbitt and his entire staff. Let's face it most of us are not big fans of dental work but this whole office has gone out of its way to make me comfortable with each visit. Dr. Babbitt has an awesome way about him and always explains everything so well. Choose Dr. Babbitt for all your dental needs and you won't be sorry you did.

I was very afraid of dentists. That was 30 years ago when I started seeing Dr. Babbitt and his fantastic staff. I have never before received Novocain where the injection was pain free. Dr. Babbitt changed how I felt about going to the dentist. Now, it is like visiting friends! They have made this process a very enjoyable experience. I should add that he has received training from Philip Kroll DDS MAGD, Ventura, Ca. Dr. Babbitt and his staff helped me believe in dentists again!

I have been going to Dr. Babbit and his amazing staff for over 20 years and now I take my kids there (who are 7 and 11). He and his staff have always been so attentive and catering to our individual needs. He is so incredible with my kiddos as well!! Love Stephanie at the front she always makes sure I book my follow ups! And they give plenty of reminder calls as well as texts. Thank you guys for treating us like family!

Dr. Babbit is the very best dentist ever. I have gone to him for my dental needs for over 20 years. Over the years I have had extensive work done. The best part is he is very gentle. I would absolutely recommend him.

This is a great dentist office! All of the people are very nice. I was just passing through and needed some help diagnosing a toothache. Everyone was very nice and extremely helpful. Dr Babbitt is great! He took his time and answered all my questions.
