Dr. Annie Pedersen grew up in Southern California and completed her Bachelors Degree in Mathematics at UCLA. She continued her studies at the University of Washington, where she earned a Masters Degree in Biostatistics, before returning to UCLA to become a dentist.
Following dental school, Dr. Pedersen completed 2 years of additional training at the Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic to earn her Pediatric Dentistry specialty certificate. During her second year of residency, she earned the Pugh award and the James Roche Award of Excellence from the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.

The dentist and the whole team were great. My 5 yr old unfortunately needed 2 teeth pulled which makes me feel like the worst mom in the whole world!! But everyone here was very professional and very loving in a very stressful situation. I'm so thankful for that. You can tell these people care. Very quick and efficient also.

We had a great experience at Mariposa Pediatric Dentistry. The office staff was very kind and accommodating. They even offered us a later appointment when it came available, knowing we had a long drive. Britney was our dental assistant and made my daughter feel very comfortable. Even got her to laugh during her exam. Her Dentist was Anne Pedersen, DDS. She also made my daughter feel comfortable. She and her staff took extra time from their busy schedule to complete the needed services, saving us a return trip. We are definitely going to return for her 6 mo follow up. Thank you all very much!

After visiting a different dentist in my town for my 4 year old son, I was not satisfied. So I did a search for pediatric dentists in town and surrounding areas. I called Mariposa's Pediatric Dentistry to ask for an appointment and second opinion on my sons previous visit before going through with a procedure. On the phone, before scheduling an appointment I was able to address some concerns I had after the previous experience and got some clarification and explanations on why things might be done a certain way at a dentist, but also some reassurance on how this next experience would be much better. I called back two separate times before scheduling and got different receptionists, both of which were very friendly and made my decision easy. They were able to get my son in the next day, so we we decided on driving to the next town to make the visit. The receptionists were friendly and the gentleman assisting with Landon's first time X-Rays was very patient and kind. He was only able to get pictures of one side, but at least it was the side which was needing work. Shortly after the Dentist came in to discuss the next step and options for procedure. Unfortunately at that point my toddler was over it and didn't want to cooperate, but this was his third visit to dentists in the past week so I was understanding. Dr. Pederson explained how the procedure would work and was honest in addressing some of my concerns as a mother. I appreciated her and the receptionist giving other options in town that we could seek out but with discussion on the drive home we decided this would be the best fit for our son to get work done. The next appointment will not be for months out, which is not what we were hoping for, but they reassured that he will be fine in the meantime so it should be worth the wait. Fingers crossed he doesn't need work done before then because we would like to have it done at Mariposa's.

Dr. Accused my service animal of not being a registered service dog when he alerted to a child with disabilities and had front desk ask me to go outside. Dr spoke so loud down the hallway my entire family felt uncomfortable and ultimately did leave my medical alert dog in the car to avoid confrontation during my 5y old son's dental appointment. Horrible experience. Would never recommend.
