Dr. Mark A. Marion and the team at Marion Smile Center continue to win the areas most prestigious dental awards. Dr. Marion was selected by his peers, other dentists, and specialists as a Top Dentist by Pittsburgh Magazine every year since 2011. Pittsburgh Magazine also selected Dr. Marion as one of 8 Top Cosmetic Dentists. Cranberry Eagle selected him as Top Dentist in 2021. The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review selected Marion Smile Center as a bronze winner for best dental office in the North Hills area. Dr. Marion was also voted as one of Americas Best Dentists as well as a Top Dentist in Zelienople by the International Association of Dentists.
Dentistry was his destiny. As a third-generation dentist, Dr. Marion earned his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine just like his predecessors. After graduation, he trained under his father for four years while he was starting Marion Smile Center.
Like my father before me, I became a dentist to help keep Zelienoples families smiling for generations. In keeping with that tradition, I have built a new, modern practice that is dedicated to bringing the latest innovations in dental care to each and every member of your family.
As part of my professional obligation to my patients, I maintain a thorough awareness of all the latest developments in cosmetic and restorative dentistry. My active memberships in professional organizations play a key role, because, through them, I meet regularly with other dentists and share advancements that will give you a healthier, more beautiful smile.
Dr. Marion continued his dental education by completing hundreds of hours of continuing education. He is one of only 5% of dentists in the USA with the esteemed designation of Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. Achieving Lifetime Qualification into the Crown Council organization is one of his proudest achievements. Crown Council dentists must meet arduous standards for five (5) consecutive years in order to be included among the Top Dental Practices in the country.
When he is not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. Marion is an avid golfer, and enjoys all sports and spending time with his wife, Kimberly. They have 2 children, Mason and Morgan. Morgan, also a dentist, is currently in an orthodontic residency.
Our expanded function dental assistants have advanced training, annual continuing education requirements, and experience not all dental assistants have earned this certification, licensure, and distinction making our team one of the most highly qualified in the region.
For example, when Dr. Marion wanted to implement digital impressions versus old-fashioned, messy, uncomfortable, gooey impressions, it was his EFDAs who took the lead. They researched digital impression scanners, demod the top scanners with manufacturer representatives, and selected one of the top-ranked scanners in the industry and they did not stop there. They used their downtime during the COVID-19 pandemic to have the scanner installed, receive training, and practice on one another. They are professionals who are passionate about what they do, and it shows.
Marion Smile Center partners with the local charity and together they both reach out to the people in the community to inform them how they can whiten their teeth at Marion Smile Center, creating a more beautiful smile, AND help the charity. Each year from March 1 through June 30, we donate 100% of the proceeds from the donations that we receive during our WHITEN FOR CHARITY campaign. During this four-month campaign, patients whiten their teeth at our office. We donate our time and office. Opalescence, a global leader in professional teeth whitening, donates the product.
100% of our regular whitening fees are paid for by our patients directly to the Smiles for Life Foundation, a charity for underprivileged children. At the end of the four-month campaign period, the Smiles for Life Foundation tabulates the Marion Smile Center donations and sends one check to us to present to the local charity.
