Dr. Slavik is from Chattanooga, TN but has been living in Memphis obtaining her DDS degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Dr. Slavik is drawn to dentistry due to the impact she is able to have on her patients. Giving back someone their smile is the most rewarding part of her job. She enjoys getting to know people and helping them achieve their smile goals.
In her free time, Dr. Slavik loves to spend time outdoors hiking and camping which is why western NC first caught her attention. She also enjoys yoga, baking, putting together cheese boards for her friends, and exploring new restaurants.
The thing that excites me most about dentistry is that I never know what amazing challenge awaits when I see a patient for the first time. No two patients are the same and its like a puzzle I get to solve to help each patient to their satisfaction. My patients come from every walk of life, and it always amazes me how happy they all are. No matter where they are or what is going on, they have good attitudes. This always humbles me and makes me appreciate all of my blessings.
I take being a dental professional very seriously. My patients come to me needing my help with dental issues and place their trust in my abilities. I try to treat everyone as I would treat my own familyby giving them my professional opinion and allowing them to make the choices that are right for their unique situation.
Dentistry is always evolving and I like to be on the cutting edge. This requires me to participate in many continuing education courses and be active in professional organizations like the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Association.
