Having spent 36 years in Ocala, we have made many lifelong friends in the community. Marion Dental Group is not a corporate dental office. We do not have a corporation over our shoulders attempting to dictate our treatment for financial gains nor do we cycle through different doctors every few years. Of our 100 years of combined clinical experience, almost all of it has been earned at our Marion Dental Group offices. Many of our patients have been seeing the same doctor here for 15, 20, even 30 years!
Early symptoms of oral cancer include: a sore on the lip, in the mouth, or in the throat that does not heal; a lump on the lip, in the mouth, or in the throat; a red or white patch found anywhere in the mouth; unusual pain or bleeding in the mouth; swelling of the mouth; and any difficulty or discomfort felt in chewing or swallowing.
Following good oral hygiene practices includes eating the right foods, brushing after meals, flossing at least once a day, and scheduling regular dental visits. If you maintain good oral hygiene, you may need general cleanings at least twice a year. Some patients may need more more general cleanings than others.
A root canal is a treatment used to repair and save a badly decayed or infected tooth. During a root canal procedure, the nerve and pulp are removed and the inside of the tooth is cleaned and sealed. Without treatment, the tissue surrounding the tooth will become infected and abscesses may form.
The term 'Root canal' describes the natural cavity within the center of the tooth where the soft pulp and pulp chamber is located. Here lies the tooth 's nerve lies within the root canal. After the tooth has emerged through the gums, it 's nerve is not vitally important to the tooth 's health and function. Its only function is sensory. It 's presence or absence does not affect the day-to-day functioning of the tooth.
Tooth decay and periodontal disease are the most common causes of tooth loss. Tooth decay takes place when most of the tooth's mineral makeup has been dissolved away and a hole (cavity) has formed. While tooth decay primarily affects children, periodontal disease, or gum disease, affects mostly adults.

Morgan kubis should not be practicing. She does not care about the patient and screws up there mouths. Thanks to her not using the correct size drill she drilled to deep and now my husband has to have a root canal which she should be paying for as she has caused this mess. Also they put a bridge in my husbands mouth and did not tell him how to care for it so that is another problem that we're dealing with. Would not send my dog here. Did not want to give one star but that was the only way I could get on here to do a review

I would never recommend going to Marion dental group. it is clear they truly do not care about treating you as a patient or the inconveniences they cause you. after having an appointment and making a substantial drive to get there i was told i can't be seen. then put on the phone, after calling later and asking for an alternative, with the hygiene coordinator. (who quite frankly had a bad attitude and spoke to me like i was stupid). following this, she offered me an appointment for next year. i am really grateful to have had this experience because i can now warn people from wasting their time with this office! the most unprofessional practice i've been to.

Staff are very welcoming & kind. I think Dr. Vitaly did the best he could. Unfortunately, the antibiotic he prescribed did not remedy the problem, & OTC NSAIDs did not relieve toothache. He did give me a referral to a periodontist & forwarded my info immediately, which I appreciate. Only complaint is that the waiting room is FREEZING, but someone will get you a blanket if you ask.

Janet, my hygienist was sweet and knowledgeable. She explained what was going on with my teeth and why. Dr. Bailey was kind and honest and there was no judgement in this office. I hate going to the dentist. This wasn't a bad visit...finally.

So James Edward's IS hands down the best dentist EVER!! E V E R! IF you HATE GOING TO THE DENTIST ESP because of painful shots, OR DUE TO GOING TO DENTISTS WHO TELL YOU U NEED PROCEDURES U DONT James Edward's is the dentist for you! Little TO NO pain here. I would and have driven several hundred miles to see him. He says the trick is a bit smaller needle! But with a HUGE difference in comfort !! I really don't get why more dentists don't follow suit! They are professional kind AND PROMPT! AND HE IS HONEST AND HUMOROUS TO BOOT! HARD TO BELIEVE I KNOW I HAVE BEEN GOING TO HIM OVER 40 YEARS AND CONTINUE! SIGNED VICKI PALMA OCALA 1.20.22
