She graduated from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco and went on to training at Columbia University Medical Center and New York Presbyterian Hospital.
Through her training and experience in complex care, Dr. Cho developed her specialty in advanced restorative, cosmetic, surgical dentistry, and has a specialty in treating phobic patients. She is also Invisalign certified and treats patients who are diagnosed with Sleep Apnea. She values spending time with patients to understand their individual expectations, needs, and to address personalized goals in and beyond the dental chair. Her strong belief in patient education allows her to focus on prevention and quality care dental treatment.
Aside from her enthusiasm for teeth, Dr. Cho is passionate about the arts (including her own artwork, which can be seen displayed at our office), enjoys hiking with her dog Pola, and volunteering- in art societies and dental outreach.
Pola is our part pug, part chihuahua (or 'chug') office dog, rescued in 2015 from the SPCA. Time to time, you may see her stretching out from her office. If you are lucky, she may let you hold her while you are getting treatment done. Her calm spirit really has a way of soothing the soul!

Trying to make patients pay for unnecessary treatments is unethical and creates significant medical risks for patients. I was given a teeth cleaning by an assistant as well as a dental examination by Dr. Kim. The examination took 30 seconds of her looking into my mouth and at the pictures taken by the assistant, after which she declared that even though I did not have cavities (only discoloration), four teeth would need drilling for a total cost of $1750. I asked whether this was medically necessary, but she insisted it's important. This sort of overtreatment is medically dangerous and clearly against clinical guidelines provided by the American Dental Association. The slight discoloration Dr. Kim wanted to drill away has been there for years without any changes, yet she insisted the problem would be come worse if not taken care of immediately. Several other dentists during the last 10 years have also clearly said that it is harmful to drill these sort of minor discolorations, as they have clearly not changed during the years. It seems like Dr. Kim is trying to make money off patients who don't know better.

I am very grateful to Dr. Cho for repairing 2 of my crowns, the same day as my flight to Europe! Just 8 hours before my flight, one of my crowns was dislodged from my tooth while having lunch. I then called Dr. Cho with the emergency. Amazingly, Dr. Cho squeezed me in at 4:45 PM that same day, and even stayed later than usual to complete the repair. I made it to my flight on time with all of my crowns in place. I can't thank Dr. Cho enough!!

I always associated fear and discomfort going into a Dentist's office, but that all changed when I found Marina Park Dental. The staff there are all so nice and professional. They made me feel comfortable and I didn't feel judged for having bad dental hygiene one bit, which is a pleasant change of scenery from my previous Dentists. They talked me through the procedures, made sure I was comfortable throughout, and by the end of each session (I've had 2 so far) I left thinking, "that wasn't bad at all!" Another huge plus is that the building is attached to a parking garage so you don't have to worry about parking, which is usually a nightmare in San Francisco. I would rate this office more than 5 stars if I could and I highly HIGHLY recommend this to anybody looking for a Dentist.

Dr. Abigail and staffs are friendly and attentive to treatment. All the workers made me feel comfortable and I was able to receive treatment comfortably. I can feel that you are being treated meticulously, and you are cared even after treatment.

I've been a patient at Marina Park Dental for close to 5 years now and I absolutely love the professionalism and the friendliness of their team. Their office is clean, well located and has big open windows. Their price range is on the lower side too which is great. I've recommended Marina Park Dental to all my friends in SF and I will keep doing so!

I've been going to Marina Park Dental for a few years now. I actually don't dread going to the dentist anymore! I'm always surprised by how the staff recognizes me instantly even if it's been 6 months from my last appointment. They hear out my concerns and offer me helpful tips. After moving across town, I haven't even considered switching dentists. Highly recommend.

I couldn't be happier with my experience at Marina Park Dental. I've been going for 4 years now. The three words/phrases I associate with MPD are: thoughtful, reliable, and service-oriented. Thoughtful: Abigael Cho is the best dentist I've had, period. She cares about her clients, takes the time to get to know them, and has an attentive and warm bedside manner. Reliable: Dr. Cho and her team have done my Invisalign work, cavity care, and general cleanings for 4 years. I am consistently impressed by their high bar, and have referred many people to the practice with equal results. Service-oriented: Customer service is just as important in the dental field as it is in other companies. I'm appreciative of the timely responses in scheduling via call/email, and fast turn-around times when I needed to replace an Invisalign retainer. Thank you, Dr. Cho and team. I'm looking forward to many more years of being a Marina Park Dental patient!

I could not be more pleased with my experience at Marina Park Dental! I am new to the city and was in need of a dentist close by. I was able to find an appointment online and schedule a visit within a couple of weeks with Marina Park Dental. The office is clean with views of the city but most importantly, the staff was so great. I felt welcomed the moment I walked in and truly felt like the top priority during my time in the office. I will absolutely be back and will recommend this office to friends and family.

Who wants to go to a dentist? This is definitely one of those questions that globally will get the same answer: No one! Well, I will tell you that, at least in my life, this has changed: all the unpleasant hesitations, fear and discomfort at a mere thought of going to a dentists have vanished since I am a patient of Marina Park dental. Dr. Cho is a miracle worker - not once have a I felt a pain during or after complex procedures. She is knowledgeable, experienced, extremely careful and emphatic with the patients and makes sure on each and every step to both inform yu what will happen and prevent any surprise or discomfort while she does what she knows best. And she is a fantastic teacher to those who she tutors during procedures. This office has hired young, extremely helpful, kind and professional team who daily learn from her experience. The practice is a trove of the latest dental technology you can imagine(of course, me, being a geek in tech can only appreciate and admire): From impeccable digital records with illustrative imagery of the state of the teeth or the work to be done, to mini Xray devices, scanners and even milling machine for custom crowns that Dr. Cho models herself, like an artist sculptor. Brazilian music travels through the rooms making you even more zen than what you are.. if you have to wait ( which is almost never), art books help spend quality time.. and a TV on the ceiling above each chair helps when procedures re longer. There is a private parking and the practice reimburses the parking fee at exit. This practice excels not only at dental practices but shows a true understanding of patients experience. If you don't have a dentists or have an urge to change the one you have, trust me, this is a very different place. And if the above was not enough, I will add one thing: I fall asleep during teeth treatment each time I am there. That says something, right? The experience in this practice is a quantum leap from any place I have ever been - give it a try. PS: I have no relatives no any close friend at this practice. I am truly just extremely happy patient.
