Dr. [Jenny] Ji Youn Lee joined our team in 2018. She was born in South Korea and raised in Bethesda, Maryland prior to moving to Boston to continue her education. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Neurobiology with a minor in Psychology from Boston University and holds a Master of Arts degree in Nutrition and Metabolism as well.
After graduating from Boston University, she received her DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During her time at Tufts, she acquired a vast range of skills and experience in treating all phases of dentistry at Tufts Clinic, a rehabilitation hospital for special needs children, community health centers, and geriatric outreach programs. She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society.
Dr. Lee understands the anxiety that can come with receiving dental treatments. She has a gentle, conservative approach to dentistry with an emphasis on preventative treatments and makes patient comfort a priority. She is committed to excellence and strives to exceed her patients expectations at each and every visit.
When Dr. Lee is not improving peoples oral health, she is most likely in search of good food and taking advantage of all the outdoor activities California offers. She enjoys playing volleyball, running, and anything to do with the beach.
Hilary has been our RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist) for several years now. She graduated from the University of Pacific with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene. She also received the prestigious Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award for outstanding clinical achievement. She is a California native and just recently she moved to Southern California from the San Francisco Bay Area. Hilary is a specialist in prophy (dental cleaning) and patient education. She is caring and tender with her patients and she will be loved by all of those who are under her care. Hilary is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association and California Dental Hygiene Association. Our patients love her!
Julia is one of our Dental Assistants. She is passionate about what she does. Her goal is to make our patients feel comfortable and assist the doctors while they perform their job. She goes above and beyond to make sure that the patient experience will be the best possible. Julia is pursuing her education and in the near future she will be a RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist). Julia is also fluent in Spanish.
Prior to joining our team, Marcia worked as a lab technician for a large Dental Lab in Southern California. She is a specialist in dental materials for prosthesis, crowns and other appliances we offer in our practice due to her past experience. She is Brazilian from Sao Paulo. She loves travelling, music and Asian food. Marcia is fluent in English and Portuguese.
Alongside his wife Dr. Rios, Billy has also been on the Marina Dental Care team from the beginning. He is in charge of the daily operations and marketing strategies of the office. His job is to manage communications, oversee weekly scheduling, and provide training to supporting staff.

1. I love seeing Dr. Rios...she is sweet and friendly, gentle and very good at her job. 2. The dental hygienist is very nice, very detailed, gentle and very good at her job. 3. The place is very clean and I feel safe. 4. They give a toothbrush, toothpaste, dental floss in a travel pouch at every dental cleaning :) 5. Free parking in the back. 6. Their in-house teeth whitening really works. 7. All the office staff and assistants are friendly; I was always treated nicely. My experience is based on multiple visits in the last 2 years (between 5-10 visits). 8. I recommend this place to my family and friends in the LA area.

I found this dental practice a couple of years ago when I was looking for one that was within walking distance of my home and had female dentists, and I've been very happy with them. The entire team is professional and warm. I've had only positive experiences and highly recommend them.

Digital x-rays are a game changer. I got a full mouth workup and it revealed issues that would be more difficult to detect with conventional methods. Pair that with photographs taken and you really get an idea what's going on in the mouth.

Dr. Nalbandiam was incredible, she has a warm bedside manor and does meticulous dental work. I'm sure dealing with patients that have had bad experiences in the past is difficult. She was very mindful and caring and checked in on my comfort level at all times. I'm happy to find a dental office close to home.

All the staff are friendly and helpful. They seem to have the latest, state of the art equipment. My routine cleaning is painless and thorough. Dr. Rios is always attentive and does a thorough check, with recommendations for future visits, if needed.

The best dental treatment I've ever had in my life! Dr. Isabela did my root canal treatment, she was very careful and considerate of my anxiety. Marcia was also a sweetheart! And Billy is always very kind and careful in the service. All in all, I 100% recommend this clinic.
