Dr. Wong received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry/Biology at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of California, San Francisco and Certificate of Orthodontics from New York University.
Dr. Wong is Board Certified in Orthodontics and has additionally completed extensive continuing education in bite and jaw function. He has been in private practice for fifteen years. He holds membership in multiple dental and orthodontic societies.
Dr. Wong is committed to providing the best orthodontic care possible and believes all people should be treated with the utmost integrity and respect. He strives to create a personal connection with every patient. He believes that patients should be given the opportunity to choose treatment that is consistent with their needs, wants and, and values.
Payment for professional services is due at the time dental treatment is provided. Every effort will be made to provide a treatment plan which fits your timetable and budget, and gives your child the best possible care. We accept cash, personal checks, debit cards and most major credit cards.
PLEASE UNDERSTAND that we file dental insurance as a courtesy to our patients. We do not have a contract with your insurance company, only you do. We are not responsible for how your insurance company handles its claims or for what benefits they pay on a claim. We can only assist you in estimating your portion of the cost of treatment. We at no time guarantee what your insurance will or will not do with each claim. We also can not be responsible for any errors in filing your insurance. Once again, we file claims as a courtesy to you.
Dental insurance is meant to be an aid in receiving dental care. Many patients think that their insurance pays 90%-100% of all dental fees. This is not true! Most plans only pay between 50%-80% of the average total fee. Some pay more, some pay less. The percentage paid is usually determined by how much you or your employer has paid for coverage, or the type of contract your employer has set up with the insurance company.
You may have noticed that sometimes your dental insurer reimburses you or the dentist at a lower rate than the dentist 's actual fee. Frequently, insurance companies state that the reimbursement was reduced because your dentist 's fee has exceeded the usual, customary, or reasonable fee ('UCR') used by the company.
A statement such as this gives the impression that any fee greater than the amount paid by the insurance company is unreasonable, or well above what most dentists in the area charge for a certain service. This can be very misleading and simply is not accurate.
Insurance companies set their own schedules, and each company uses a different set of fees they consider allowable. These allowable fees may vary widely, because each company collects fee information from claims it processes. The insurance company then takes this data and arbitrarily chooses a level they call the 'allowable' UCR Fee. Frequently, this data can be three to five years old and these 'allowable' fees are set by the insurance company so they can make a net 20%-30% profit.
Unfortunately, insurance companies imply that your dentist is 'overcharging', rather than say that they are 'underpaying', or that their benefits are low. In general, the less expensive insurance policy will use a lower usual, customary, or reasonable (UCR) figure.

Dr. Navarro is AMAZING! My son has been her patient 8 years and he loves her so much! She makes him feel so comfortable that he prefers to go to the dentist any day vs seeing any other doctor! My oldest son was her patient 15 years! He loved her as well! I love her and her team too! I highly recommend Dr. Navarro!

We have been with Dr. Navarro since my daughter was one year old. When my son was born we decided to stay with her. Both of my kids are 18 and 14 now, and continue to go to her office for care. The orthodontist is also great.(also part of her staff right across from her office) I love Dr. Navarro's passion for her job and for the kids whom are under her care.

My son and I love Dr. Navarro. She specializes in kids dentistry. She makes the kids feel very comfortable when performing the treatments. Dr. Navarro's goal is for the kids to have a good experience at the dentist. She is been our kids dentist for the past six years.

I don't usually leave reviews, but Dr Navarro is awesome. My 6 year old loves her and loves to visit the dentist, I can't say that about my dentist. The staff were wonderful, and very professional. As a parent, I too enjoyed all the games and toys available in their office. ---- Son is now 13 years old and still sees Dr Navaro. Still amazing service, great staff, can't find one fault.

Update: Knowing of the possible side effects of IV sedation and reading/hearing about the tragic incidents that children have died during/after the procedure, this is something we did not want to risk for our 3 year old. After diligently searching the web, finally found Dr. Benjamin Cho in Milpitas who competently performed root canal WITHOUT IVs!!!. Thank goodness we had a SAFER OPTION for our daughter! Previously: This is the first time we didn't have the freedom to make our own treatment choices! We were specifically told we cannot pick what treatment we receive and insisted that we get an est. $5000 worth of other treatment that is not critical at this time and would not be covered by our insurance. What's worse, they want to use IV sedation JUST to treat a simple cavity. We were thinking, what the heck...is our daughter going for a heart surgery? This dental office not only failed to make us feel comfortable due to the UNfriendly front desk, but worst of all, they wasted our money that we needed for our daughter's treatment!

Annoyed. I dont care what insurance my son has . I'll pay whatever for him to see the dentist. It's not my job to call insurance. Lazy assistants dont bother. Cuz they dont have appointments. I called four different times. And this lady seems like she didnt want patients

Super impressed with the superior level of customer service at this office. I have been bringing my children for over 10 years now. I wish they would take adults too. Dr. Navarro is so personable and great with my children. She also explains everything in detail before checking my kids. Hygienists and front office are great with kids too. Gentle and kind office. We're being very happy with Doctor Navarro for many years now, she is very sweet ,friendly and gentle with the kids and supportive with parents. We had a horrible experience with our previous pediatric dentist, and when we explained the situation to Doctor Navarro, she made sure that our child first appointment at her office when smooth and comfortable. The front desk staff is always very nice and welcoming as soones you go into the office they greet you and take care of business. Thank you.
