Dr. Michael A. Thomas, Jr. is from Thomson, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate education at Paine College. He then completed his dental education at the former Medical College of Georgia College of Dental Medicine (now Augusta University Dental College of Georgia). Upon graduation, he completed a one-year General Practice Residency Program at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital in Bronx, New York.
Dr. Thomas loves being a positive role model in his community. He also enjoys spending time with his family, watching sports, and living a healthy lifestyle. He and his lovely wife, Je'Nae, are proud parents to their two sons, Max and Mills.
He is a dedicated, enthusiastic and compassionate general dentist who is competent and comfortable in procedures such as restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, periodontics, pedodontics, removable and fixed prosthodontics. As a lifelong learner, he has gained experience in molar root canals, clear aligners, dental implant restorations, cosmetic crowns, and diagnosing oral pathology.
Dr. Thomas is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the Georgia Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Dr. Thomas has completed the requirements for a Fellowship Award for the Academy of General Dentistry and will receive his Fellowship in July of 2019 in Connecticut. Obtaining Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry has always been a goal for Dr. Thomas. What is Fellowship?

I love this place. I brought my 4 year old son here. Keanna was very patient with him. She assured him everything would be okay. She held his hand while Dr Thomas checked his teeth.

I had such a phenomenal visit. As a new patient, I felt so welcoming and loved. Dr. Michael's team are truly Amazing, Helpful and Gentle. This definitely will be my primary dentist office

All around a very great experience. I came in on fairly short notice to have some crowns put in. Their staff was super friendly, kept me in the loop regarding costs and follow-up appts. Dr. Thomas is very friendly and professional. I told my wife of my experience, so she scheduled a routine teeth cleaning for our daughter, which she had equally as high praises. We no longer live in Atlanta, but if we did, we would absolutely continue going to see Dr. Thomas and his team.

This place is 5 stars! Everyone here is so helpful and I love my teeth! I had been to several cosmetic dentists so many told me they couldn't help me. He did a bonding that others said would be too hard to do beautifully and professionally. I got numbed and didn't feel a thing I would def recommend and I'm def coming back!

I went in the office not knowing what to expect although they had excellent reviews. When I tell you I have never been to a office where everyone is friendly and professional and make you feel welcome, this is your dentist office. Kudos to Dr. Thomas and his staff. This was by far the most amazing experience in a dentist office that I have ever EVER had! My 7 & 5 year old boys not only are inspired from all the representation in the office but they're saying they never thought the dentist could be so fun! FUN!? Needless to say I may have two dentists on my hands now and I definitely have a dental home for my whole family. Cannot wait to see everyone in the office again!

Dr Thomas and my hygienist Erica we're both great! As well as the front desk staff + the guy who did my fluoride treatment (forgot to get his name). Highly recommend if you're looking for a dentist in the area. They were super gentle, explained everything well, and everyone was super friendly. I've been to other dentists where the cleanings are super rough, or it feels like they're just trying to upcharge you on anything possible, but the complete opposite here. Thanks again!

I went to the dentist yesterday and it was extremely pleasant. Everyone was nice from the front office staff to Dr. Harris. I had to get a filling and so did my wife, this was our first experience and it definitely won't be our last. They gave us a welcome package at the end, which consisted of a coupon, thank you card, and dental care package in a beautiful gift bag. Good job on being different, that was my first time receiving a welcome package in a gift bag instead of the regular boring folder. This is a great black owned, warm welcoming, and knowledgeable staff. I would definitely recommend.

Ok so the dentist isn't the place you look forward to going EVER. From the moment I walked in to check-in the service was AMAZING. The entire staff is welcoming and pleasant. Everyone is so soft spoken and warming. Dr. Thomas is definitely the man. I went in to have my final wisdom tooth removed. I definitely dreaded the whole process until Dr. Thomas actually pulled it out. I loved the fact that he took his time instead of yanking the tooth out like the other 3 were. We talked about sports and other things while he prepped me and the next thing I know my tooth was out. Even after the numbing cream wore off I had VERY MINIMAL discomfort which only lasted about a hour. After he was done they sent me home with a nice gift bag with my aftercare instructions, prescriptions, gauze, floss, toothbrush and toothpaste. That was a first and definitely appreciated. If you're looking for a permanent dentist I would HIGHLY recommend.

**FUN** Dr. Thomas and his staff made my 5year old granddaughter feel extremely relaxed and happy, I was so surprised by the outcome of her reaction to each staff member. I'm so glad I decided to bring her here. What a wonderful experience and I'm sure unforgettable for my granddaughter. I would definitely recommend clients, especially for first time children.

This has been by far the best dentist I've ever been to. The staff was kind and very energetic. They answered all of my questions regarding my extraction. The staff at Marietta Smile Gallery is AMAZING! Each time I visit, the environment is welcoming and relaxing. The staff is very professional, personable and go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable. The space is very clean as well. I'm so glad I found them and chose them amongst the many other dental offices in the area.
