I believe that the relationship I have with my patients should be educational and lead to the prevention of disease. My team and I are dedicated to a patient-centered approach and encourage our patients to be involved in co-diagnosis to achieve their goals. I dont rush into anything without proper planning because an excellent result is one that is functional and long-lasting as well as beautiful.

Diane has been in the dental field for over 35 years. She started out in dentistry as a dental assistant, which she enjoyed. Diane has been with Auburn Family Dental for over 30 years, 20 of those years with Dr. Durflinger, working in the front office as Account Manager, working with Insurances and Office manager. She feels very fortunate to be with Dr. Durflinger, with all of her knowledge of the advancements in dentistry and her expertise she feels like we are giving the patients the very best care. She loves working with Dr. Durfligner and all of her team members, they are like family.
Kelly has been a part of Dr. Durflingers team since she graduated from dental school. Being a dental insurance expert has its challenges these daysbut when I can help patients understand, be aware of their insurance benefit limitations and plan out of pocket expenses it is rewarding. Kelly completed her Dental Office Management courses at Lake Washington Vocational College and has worked the majority of 25 years with Dr. Durflinger.
Chanell started her career in the dental field over eight years ago right out of high school. Being exposed to both front and back office, she was able to distinguish her passion, to be the first contact for patients and assisting them with their dental needs. Passionate about caring for the needs of patients,Chanells kind demeanor helps patients open up and discuss their dental concerns with ease.
Auburn Family Dental is a family. Most of the staff has been working together for over 17 years and most of our patients have been with us from the beginning. Its very rewarding to be able to help people maintain their health over the years.
Jon has been practicing dental hygiene for 25 years and has been a valued team member at Auburn Family Dental for the last 17. He received his Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Washington.
Fun Facts: Known as the prankster at the office, I like to keep things fun and exciting! I was born and raised in Washington State. I have a daughter and we love spending time together! I jet-ski and travel any opportunity I get, and my favorite travel destinations are family vacations to Disneyland and dental mission trips to other countries.
Wendy is a registered Dental Assistant and started her dental career in 1983.Two-thirds of her dental career has been at Auburn Family Dental. Wendy is lead Dental Assistant and has worked alongside Dr. Durflinger for 25 years.
Our dental family patients are awesome and its been a pleasure and privilege to care for them for over 20 years. With all the advancements in dentistry and utilizing my skills ~ I love the awesome results. Its an exciting time to be in dentistry to create beautiful smiles. Its all about the experience and making the patients happy.
Newer to the dental industry Hailey started her career as a registered dental assistant, and has been assisting for over 2 years now. She states and I absolutely love every second! I love to see the joy on patients faces after exciting smile improvements. Working for Dr. Durflinger is a blast! Every day is different, but at Auburn Family Dental were like a family, so every day is fun!

Every staff member is so wonderful. They let you know all your choices in your dental care and they explain every step along the way. I love how informative they were with me, I am so happy to have found a wonderful place that cares about me and my teeth!

Dr Marie and her staff are simply the best of the best! Always friendly, and you never feel like you are part of a "cattle call". All extremely experienced and most of the crew have been together for as long as I have been going there. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else!

Love Dr. Durflinger and everybody else here. All of my experiences have been great. From seeing me for a dental emergency before I became a patient, to regular cleanings, to more in depth work. I haven't had a bad experience here and would highly recommend becoming a patient here!

Your office manager Diane is extremely hostile and rude with patients that are minorities. She has no patients with people and always looks like she hates her job. Dr. Marie Duflinger please address this situation or lose patients!!! Im not a patient but was waiting for a friend who had a procedure done. Diane's behavior is extremely unprofessional and arrogant !!!!!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Marie's office for 6-7 years and am have always been satisfied with her and her staff's work. No matter who has worked on me has always done a great job. They have a lot of experience and knowledge which makes my visits comfortable. Very thankful for their service.

I've been a patient for almost 20 years. My oral health was neglected all my life until I was referred to Dr. Durflinger. Over the years I've had extensive dental work done (crowns, root canals, extractions and even a bridge) and even if I needed to be referred out to a specialist - every part Dr. played in it was excellent. During my early years I couldn't eat an apple or corn on the cob...now, I have no restrictions. The office staff have ALWAYS been highly professional and polite. The hygienist and dental assistants all have fantastic chair side manners and Dr. is the nicest/sweetest person. Customer Service at all levels is their top priority. Thanks Auburn Family Dental for all the years of wonderful service and care. I can't imagine where I'd be without you.

I've been a long time patient of Dr. Durflinger (10+ years), and it saddens me even to have to write this. But I cannot express the magnitude of my frustration and utter dismay of how I've been treated over the last two years. On Dr. Durflinger's recommendation, I had three crowns done in 2017. From day one, I had extreme cold sensitivity and an overall feeling of it not feeling right. It was so unbearable, so I had her check them out and found out there was a gap, and the crowns were not seated correctly. So she offered to redo all three crowns (even offered for a free mouthguard which I never received). Let me remind you, crowns take three appointments for impression, temporary crown, seating new crown, and bite adjustments. In addition to a three week wait while the lab makes your crown. Please do the math on this process for three crowns, done twice. I've spent days, and week after week in that office! Fast forward to 2019, I still have sensitivity issues even after the three crowns redone which I've brought up numerous times during my quarterly cleanings, and spent even more money on her recommendations to do fluoride treatments twice, and it hasn't resolved my sensitivity. The straw that broke the camels back was two months ago I was eating lunch, and one of my crowns cracked. I was livid, all I pictured was having to redo another crown for the THIRD TIME and waiting three weeks with three separate appointments. I told myself I would NEVER come back to this office! I found a great dental office 5 minutes away that did same day crowns. They took 3D images of my tooth, and I was in and out within an hour! What blew me away was my sensitivity on that specific tooth went away instantaneously! I went back to Dr. Durflinger to explain what happened and her reasoning on why my sensitivity went away was because "he did not preserve as much of the original tooth." Wait, so what you're telling me is that I've been suffering for the last two years and if I never replaced the cracked tooth; I would have to live with this sensitivity for the REST OF MY LIFE!!!?? I have been telling you for two years about my sensitivity. Why would you make me suffer tooth pain with three teeth, and not even bring up this option? The only time you bring it up was when another dentist fixed what never should have been a problem, to begin with. After an hour meeting, Dr. Durflinger only offered to redo my crowns again. She did not provide any concessions on the thousands of dollars that I've spent for something that I've never been happy about. She did not offer any accommodations for all the time that I've spent going back and forth to the office. I spent thousands of dollars and an additional $900 out of my pocket to get the cracked tooth fixed. I'm sorry, but you proved that you value money over patient care and satisfaction. Go ahead and pocket my $2500, you lost a lifetime patient. Including my family and friends, and I hope anyone else who is reading this will think twice. I encourage anyone who has questions, search on yelp.

I moved here three years ago from my hometown in Washington a couple hours north of Auburn. I have been neglecting my teeth for about seven years and a car accident prompted me to get into the dentist and get them fixed. I just have to say I love this dentist Dr. Marie is a wonderful gal, she does the best work I've ever seen and takes extra steps to ensure patients comfort and satisfaction. Very welcoming dentist office and staff.

We have been going to Auburn Family Dental since Dr Marie opened her practice.We would not consider going anywhere else! The whole staff is considerate and caring and all go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and comfortable.We've never waited more than 5 minutes for an appointment.Dr Marie is an awesome dentist who treats her patients with excellent skill and compassion.

I have been going to Dr Durflinger for so many years that the staff and doctor fill like family the moment you walk in. They greet you with such smiles and geniune warmth. They make sure you are at ease, since most people tend to have some unsettled feeling about going to a dentist. The staff do everything to make sure you are comfortable and have the best experience possible. I will tell you that the doctor has change locations once and I followed and if she does move again I would follow her to her next location. Thank you everyone at Auburn Family Dental for all you have done for me and my family.
