Originally from the Philippines, Dr. Vann completed her undergraduate studies and earned her first dental degree at Centro Escolar University, College of Dentistry in the Philippines in 1978. She practiced general dentistry for six years in the Philippines. She attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry and graduated in 1988. She has been practicing in Northern Virginia ever since.
Dr. Vann is a member of national and local dental associations, including Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Oral Systemic Health, and the Schuster Center for Professional Development.
Dr. Vannhas been recognizedas a Top Dentist for Excellence in General Dentistry by Virginia Living Magazine since 2010. Top Dentist by the Washingtonian Magazine since 2017. She was also named Americas Best Dentist in 2019 and 2020 by Consumers Research Council of America, Top Dentist in July/August 2006 by Health & Beauty Magazine, and Top Dentist in Northern Virginia in 2017 and 2018 by Northern Virginia Living Magazine.
It is very important for me to share my philosophy of dentistry with my patients. My practice is relationship-based, meaning that my patients and I, not any insurance company, make decisions on what procedures are best for them. I am happy to provide documentation for my patients so that they can submit them for an insurance claim; however, it is important for my patients to understand that many procedures are not covered by insurance. It doesnt mean that they are not necessary; it just means they are not covered. For this reason, I do not subscribe to any insurance plan.
My practice and my patients are my passions. As such, it is my mission to provide you not only with professional dental service but also with a warm, welcoming environment.
