Dr. Paras was born in the Philippines and moved to the US at a very young age. She grew up in St. Louis, and attended the University of Kansas for her undergraduate work to earn her B.A. in Biology. She attended dental school at Northwestern University in Chicago, where she earned her D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) degree in 1999. She practiced dentistry in St. Louis until 2001, when she moved to the Northeast. Dr. Paras recognizes that dentistry is continually advancing, and she consistently continues her education and attends seminars so she can stay current on the rapid innovations in the field. As an active member of the dental community, she belongs to the American Dental Association, the Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Greater Norwalk Dental Society.
Dr. Paras is married and has three children. As a mother, she understands parents concerns about their childrens health and she offers compassionate, thorough dental treatment to families. As a dentist, she believes in partnering with her patients to help them make informed decisions regarding dental health.

So glad I found this practice. Everyone here is super knowledgeable and kind. The atmosphere in the office is incredibly relaxing no need to worry about harsh fluorescents irritating your eyes while you lean back and get your teeth cleaned.

Dr.Paras has been my dentist ever since I moved to Norwalk (15 years ago). She is the BEST. Super friendly and very good at what she does. The staff here is also excellent. The receptionist and hygienists make you feel like you're family.

I have some dental anxiety but this office made me feel at ease. My hygienist, Stefanie, was great and made me feel comfortable. Dr Paras was very thorough in her exam. Love this office and look forward for my next appointment.

i've had long term complications -- including nerve damage -- from seeing this dentist. lacks basic human empathy needed when working in a medical field. she should not be practicing dentistry on anyone. the negative reviews are the ones you should be paying attention to. be mindful when choosing your dentist.

This office is wonderful! The staff are all very friendly and they make you feel at ease. My hygienist (Stephanie) is great and a pleasure to talk to. Dr. Paras is amazing! She is so nice, patient and delicate with her hands. She's excellent at what she does! I highly recommend this office!

I've been going here for years now and Dr. Maria Paras dental practice is definitely one of the most professional, friendly, & knowledgeable places I've ever gone to for dental work! I can't recommend Dr. Paras' office enough. Dr. Paras and her team are always attentive, kind, and conscious of my comfort. I never feel pressured to buy more services or that I'm getting tricked into paying more.

Really grateful I was able to find such a wonderful dentist near me that's covered by my insurance. Everyone at this practice is kind, respectful, and well-informed. The dental cleanings are thorough and painless. Doctors tend to make me nervous but I feel right at home here. The office is very cozy and I never have to wait when I go here which is a definite plus!

Dr Paras and her staff are wonderful! My daughter has severe "dental anxiety" from past experiences with other dentists. Dr Paras was very understanding and comforting. The office is very clean, organized and doesn't have that "dental office smell". The hygienist was also very sweet and knowledgeable. The office manager was very easy to work with and was very accommodating when scheduling and very efficient in sending over records and X-rays to the specialist for consultation. I highly recommend this practice and so pleased we found Dr Paras.!!!!
