Dr. Margret B. Quimby- Has been in the field of dentistry since 1987. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery, University of Maryland, Dental School. While there she received many awards for her academic and clinical achievements, including membership to OKU PHI National Dental Honor Society. Prior to that, she received her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Maryland.
She has provided compassionate, gentle dental care to the Eastern Shore since 1997. She has focused her skills as a clinician on cosmetic and restorative dentistry and her close attention to detail produces the finest possible results for a wide array of dental problems. In 2019 she was awarded her Mastership by the Academy of General Dentistry. This award is earned by less than two percent of all general dentists and is a symbol of Dr. Quimby's commitment to life long learning and bringing the highest quality of care to her patients. Dr. Quimby has completed several workshop series with the focus on Treatment Planning and Comprehensive Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry, including implants. This has established a solid base for her expertise in comprehensive complex full mouth reconstruction.
Dr. Quimbys experience in various fields in the profession includes veneers, bonding, crowns, bridges, implant restorations, fillings, dentures, extractions, root canals and emergency care. She specializes in comprehensive cosmetic dental care. When possible,Dr. Quimby participates in the charitable event-Mission of Mercy, at which she provides dental care at no cost to thosein need. She is also an active participant with The Maryland Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped (MFDH) and the Donated Dental Services (DDS) program, which provides pro bono dental care for Maryland residents who are mentally and /or physically disabled.
On a personal note, Dr. Quimby grew up in Annapolis and Kent Island. She enjoysher many pets, gardening and travel in her spare time. She is married to Dr. Charles McDonald, a local optometristand is the proud parent of two Easton High School graduates.
Jamie Coleman, RDH - Jamie is an Eastern Shore native, growing up in Church Hill, Maryland. In 1998 she received her A.A. in Allied Health Services from Delaware Technical and Community College, after two years at Chesapeake College. Jamie joined Dr. Quimby on a part-time basis in 2001, while still working part-time for a pediatric dentist. In 2008, she became a full-time hygienist for Dr. Quimby, bringing with her the ten years experience in pediatric dentistry that makes even the most apprehensive patients feel at ease and comfortable. Jamies genuine care and concern for her patients is demonstrated in her warmth and compassion, making her an excellent hygienist for those needing to overcome anxiety in the dental chair. She lives in Chestertown with her husband, Jeremy, and their two adorable children.
Amanda Ward, RDH-In March of 2008, Amanda joined Dr. Quimbys team as a dental assistant. After assisting with Dr. Quimby for 6 years she returned to school to achieve her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from the University Of Maryland School Of Dentistry.
Amanda is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association which provides information on new studies in the dental hygiene field. She enjoys helping people keep healthy by providing oral health education. Her excellent rapport with patients makes them more at ease. She can explain difficult and lengthy treatment plans in a way that makes them easier to understand and fully informs the patients as to the steps necessary to maintain optimal oral health. Amanda is also experienced in the teeth whitening process.
When she isnt at work, Amanda values the time she spends with her family. She likes crafting, gardening and watching movies. A graduate of North Caroline High School, she was born and raised on a farm right here on the Eastern Shore.
Diane Cole, RDH - Diane moved to Eastern Shore in 2006. She was a dental assistant for 16 years in Silver Spring, MD, specializing in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics. She attended the University of Maryland where, in 2005, she received her BS in Dental Hygiene. She is a member of the Annapolis dental hygiene Study Club and frequently attends continuing education courses. Dianes enthusiasm for dentistry and pride for helping our patients achieve their best oral health make her an invaluable member of our team. She now resides in Cordova with her husband, Rob, and they are the proud parents of three children.
