Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Freedberg graduated from Wayne Hills High School prior to attending the University of Pennsylvania . After graduating with honors in 1990, she then continued her education at The University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. She was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honorary Dental Society upon graduation in 1994. From there, she began a four year surgical residency at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, completing a chief residency in 1998. Since joining AOMS in June 1998, Dr. Freedberg has been an attending on the staff at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey and currently serves there as the Chief of Oral Surgery.
Dr. Freedberg is a diplomate of both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. She is a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

I have always felt that there is a correlation between the skill of the surgeon and the patient's experience with healing. Yesterday Dr. Freedberg extracted my molar. I was very comfortable during the procedure. Dr. Freedberg and her assistant Robin told me everything I needed to know about how to minimize any pain and discomfort afterwards. Well, here it is less than 24 hours later. I woke up this morning with no pain, no bleeding, and no discomfort. Thank you Dr. Freedberg, and a BIG shoutout to Robin.

Incredibly effective oral surgeon with a highly professional on-point staff, I have seen her twice and my son once. (She extracted my son's wisdom teeth.) In both cases I noticed virtually no bleeding or pain afterward. Literally, after a major oral intervention I didn't need a single Advil, which certainly speaks to the quality of her work. I cannot recommend Dr. Freedberg and her staff more highly. She is one of the best - and friendliest - physicians I have ever seen. A+

I couldn't be happier with my experience with Dr. Freedberg. To start out, I was a nervous wreck knowing that I had to have oral surgery. From the moment we shook hands, I felt calm and at ease. She explained everything she was going to do and why she was going to do it. Her bedside manner is fantastic. When I went in for surgery she was warm and welcoming and knew I was a bit anxious. Her and her assistant Robyn were patient and extremely informative. Front desk was kind and worked out a payment plan. I wish Dr. Freedberg was a general destist, because I would without a doubt go to her for everything.

I was reffered to Dr. Freedberg for an oral surgery and she was amazing. I had a car accident and my bones got fractured inside, so she has to take that out to prevent me from getting an infection. The surgery was only last for about 15-20min and it was painless! She's amazing and very friendly.. I highly reccomend this doctor.

Went in here because my honey needed her tooth extracted. Came out of here very unhappy. These "professionals" were not clear when telling us what was going to happen during the extraction, (she got stitches, no one told us about stitches). They rushed us through the procedure, telling my honey that she needed to calm down because she was just making things worse. When she called the office five days later to talk to them about her extraction they belittled her and made her feel less than. When we came back a week later we got the same attitude again. We will not be back.

Dr. Freedberg is an excellent doctor. She extracted a cracked tooth and did a bone graft procedure before putting in a dental implant several months later. She and her staff were friendly, informative, and professional throughout the several visits I made to her office. You will not go wrong using this wonderful dentist.

I was referred to Dr. Freedberg for the extraction of one of my wisdom teeth. She was personable, patient, kind, and (bonus) very funny. She and her staff made me feel very comfortable. The extraction was much more comfortable and faster than I expected. She is great at her job and I'm very pleased with this experience. They also do some very smart, efficient things such as having you complete an informational form online in advance of your appointment and giving you written instructions for after the procedure (which are also on the website). Excellent experience.

Dr Freedberg and her professional team removed the wisdom teeth on both of my teens on two separate occasions .She and her team did an excellent job and was not only professional but kind , patient, and compassionate. My husband is also a dentist and trusted Dr Freedberg with his own children- that says it all.
