Dr. Margaret Szott Margaret Szott is a unique kind of dentist. She believes in gentle dentistry, easing any concerns you might have by providing valuable patient education. She listens so she can best understand your particular needs. She then strives to provide the highest standard of personalized dental care using her skilled training and many advances in dental technology.
Born and raised in Greensboro, NC, Dr. Szott graduated from Grimsley Senior High School in 1988. She then went on to pursue a chemistry degree at Duke University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 1992. In 1996, Dr. Szott earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery with Distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry. From 1996 to 1998, she furthered her dental expertise through a General Practice Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Dr. Szott began her private dental practice in Greensboro in October of 1998.
Dr. Szott is married to Tom, an educator at Greensboro Day School. They have two sons, Matthew and Andrew and are members of St. Pius X Church. In her free time, Dr. Szott enjoys riding horses and running.
Charles Sellars Charles Sellars lives in Winston-Salem, NC. He has over 21 years of experience in the dental industry, of which 20 have been with Dr. Szott as her Office Manager. He graduated from Appalachian State University in 1992 with an MBA. He is married to Tanya, and they have three sons, Will, Connor, and Walt. His interests are sports, music and cars.
Kimberly Herndon Kimberly Herndon joined our practice in November, 2017. She has over 19 years of experience as a Dental Assistant. Kim is originally from Ohio and moved to North Carolina in 1999 She considers North Carolina home. She is married to Monty. They have a daughter, son-in-law, and a granddaughter. Kim enjoys spending time with her family and her Great Danes. Her hobbies include camping, horseback riding (trail riding), fishing, and most outdoor activities.
Janet Luther Janet Luther is originally from Miami, Florida. She graduated from Page High School in 1991 and completed dental hygiene school in 1994. She has been a hygienist for over 28 years. Janet is married to Mike and they have six children: Ian, Sean, Luke, Nikki, Mia Grace, and Katie. She and her family enjoy hiking, boating, fishing, rock climbing, biking, horseback riding, camping, and basically anything outdoors. Janet enjoys developing a family-type relationship with her patients and takes great pride in caring for them.
Angela Gage Angela Gage is a native to Julian, North Carolina. She graduated from Southeast High School in 1992. She continued her education at GTCC completing both the Dental Assisting and Dental Hygiene programs in 1996. Angela is a single mom with two children, Taylor Grace and Logan Solomon. She and her kids enjoy many outdoor adventures, including waterskiing, snow skiing, boating, camping, and spending time at Carolina Beach.
Marty Sumner Marty Sumner is a Greensboro native, a graduate of Page High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Over the years Marty has managed or provided management support in dental offices and other businesses in Atlanta, Charlotte, Durham and Greensboro. Marty is married to Brian, and they have a son and a daughter. Marty loves sports, being active and spending time with family and friends. She played travel soccer for many years and is now an avid tennis player in the USTA league. Many of her weekends are spent traveling to different places in the Southeast to watch her son and daughter play baseball, soccer and basketball.
Angie McCloughAngela McClough lives in Greensboro, NC. She is a 1991 graduate of Southern Guilford High school. Angie continued her education at Guilford Technical Community College where she completed the dental assisting program. She has been a dental assistant since 1993. Angie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, listening to music, dancing, and watching and reading true crime stories. She is a single dog mom to two fur babies, Lucky and Charlie Wilson.

I'm basing my rating on my first and only visit, so far. Dr. Hong is amazing. She was very thorough and didn't push me to get unnecessary dental work. Her team is also amazing - very professional, yet friendly. They all made me feel very welcome.

Possibly the best dental experience I've had in my whole life. Everyone I dealt with was friendly, helpful, professional and fantastic and the quality and care of work could not be beat. I highly recommend this office.

I've only been a patient here for a year, but I want it to be known how impressed I am. The staff is incredibly friendly, which is great, but their thoroughness & quality of work is what matters most to me and this is where the practice truly shines. Additionally, we all know dentistry is expensive, but they truly work with me to prioritize my treatment plan without any unexpected costs. Special shout-out to Charles who takes the time to help me understand costs, insurance, and develop a plan that works within my budget (and in a way I understand). Thanks so much for what you guys do!

YAY!! I found a fantastic dentist office in Greensboro! Charles (front desk), Dr. Hong and Angie (the tech) were all so friendly and welcoming to me. They worked together to get me all fixed up and feeling so confident moving forward :-)

I keep making the drive back to Dr. Szott's office, even after I moved to Winston-Salem a few years ago, because I can't imagine that another office could possibly make me feel more a part of a family than Dr. Szott, Charles, and the rest of the staff here do. Even now, despite all the extra precautions--which the entire staff takes very seriously--I feel at ease and so well cared for every time I'm at Dr. Szott's office. Simply the best in the Triad.

I have had horrible experiences in the past with dentists. It was suggested that I meet with Dr. Szott. My anxiety about the dentist is no more. She and her team are wonderful to work with. They know how to put you at ease and perform the duties they need to do for dental hygiene. I am glad I found them. Thanks to the whole team for always being there to answer questions and just making the whole process just easier.

Dr. Szott has been my dentist for more than 10 years. She is extremely professional and her entire staff is wonderful to work with. Every appointment is handled precisely on time specially during these challenging times we have been all going through. And she always reserves those extra minutes to chatting about my well being as well inquiring about my family, and that's the way she is! I strongly recommend Dr. Szott as the best dentist in Greensboro.

As as appropriately-paranoid pandemic experiencer, I put off my semi-annual cleaning several months ago, but a chipped tooth prodded me to visit Dr. Szott and crew regardless. I found the best of precautions, including ventilated waiting area with spaced seating, open door to hallway for those wanting even more space, and a staff who were decked out in NASA-approved regalia! All good precautions for everyone having to be up close and personal. I appreciate Dr. Szott's work and the care and concern of her staff.

Dr. Margaret Szott, DDS was recommended to us by a close friend when we moved to Greensboro just over two years ago. I can honestly say that she is the best dentist we have ever had and we have had some very competent dentists through the years. The entire practice is well run. All personnel are trained, competent, and friendly. Dr. Szott is quite friendly and puts you at ease. On your first visit, she does a thorough evaluation of your mouth. She then explains exactly what needs to be done and how she plans to do it. While providing excellent care, she is also conscious of the costs and plans the best way forward with the patient. Appointments are kept on time with little to no waiting. Dr. Szott has invested in the latest dental technology and has generally been able to handle our needs with one visit beyond the visit when an issue is identified. I highly recommend Dr. Szott to anyone looking for excellent dental care.

Dr. Scott is a wonderful dentist - I wish I could rate her 10 stars. I moved away from Greensboro several years ago but still drive over an hour to get to her office because of how much I love her and her team. I honestly thought dental work was supposed to hurt until I started visiting Dr. Scott, but she is phenomenally patient and caring with her patients - I've never had the slightest discomfort in her chair. She offers all the latest technologies (like same-day crowns) but her services are very reasonably priced. If I ever move out of state, I'll buy a plane ticket and fly to Dr Szott's office if I have to. I can't imagine a better dentist and can't recommend her more highly.

I was referred to Dr. Szott by a coworker when I moved to Greensboro 15 years ago. Since then, my husband and children have become patients as well. We were so pleased with the care we received that we never even considered sending the kids to a pediatric dentist. They don't mind their visits to the dentist one bit! Our family is very happy with Dr. Szott and all of her staff.

Dr. Szott has been my dentist for over five years and I couldn't be happier with her and her team. Charles at the front desk is friendly, professional and efficient. The staff that do teeth cleanings are gentle. Dr. Szott herself explains things and is thorough. I never doubt that I am receiving top notch dental care. I will note that I did go through Invisalign with Dr. Szott and am very happy with the results. The process took less than a year and although I am in a long term commitment with my retainer (nights only), it was worth it for perfectly straight teeth again!
