Serving patients in the community for over 38 years, Dr. Marc Hermans advanced dental studies have trained him to deal with many dental concerns, such as implants, smile makeovers, snoring, improper jaw alignment, bite, teeth wear and TMJ issues. He and his staff are committed to the long-term dental health of all of their patients from the smallest baby on up.
Dr. Herman is on the faculty of North Shore University Hospital / Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Hofstra School of Medicine, Department of Dental Medicine. He oversees 21 general and chief residents and was recently awarded his Master of Science in Health Care Ethics. At the Hofstra School of Medicine, Dr. Herman holds many roles, including:
Dr. Herman has received numerous awards, including the prestigious 30-Year Service Award from North Shore University Hospital. He has contributed to dental literature with several publications and serves on the editorial staff of the Journal of the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Herman and his wife Hillary, who is a first grade teacher, have recently celebrated their 43rd anniversary. They have 3 sons: Jason, Corey and Zachary. Jason and his wife Sarah have two daughters, Emma Rose and Natalie Elizabeth. Corey and his wife Ronni have two daughters, Eliana Rae and Noa Abigail.
It began like this: I had just completed my studies at Farmingdale College and the Mandl School of Dental Assisting, and I was ready to begin my new career so I answered a help-wanted ad for a dental assistant. Although I was right out of school, I got the job and my new boss was Dr. Marc Herman.
Within my first few days I found myself in amazement at the inviting, professional and congenial environment in Dr. Hermans office. But most of all, I admired the beautiful dentistry produced by the extremely talented Dr. Herman and Dr. Hoffman (Dr. Hoffman has since retired).
Through the practice I have made many wonderful lifelong friends, and Ive seen over and over the difference we make for our patients. Dr. Herman is generous, sincere, charitable, and his enthusiasm for improving peoples lives through improving their smiles is truly infectious.

Dr. Singh (and his able assistant and staff) have given me hope after many years of discomfort and inferior dental work. His bone grafting was successful and implants are in when others said it couldn't be done. I'm looking forward to biting into a hero and not cutting it into little pieces. Waiting anxiously and nervously for my extraction and implant to be performed was worse than the actual procedure. Dr. Singh explained what he was doing each step of the way and what I should expect. He exuded knowledge, confidence and expertly performed the work. If I need future treatment I would not hesitate to return and highly recommend him.

Dr. Pankaj Singh is an exceptional dentist. His staff is friendly & so welcoming. I am so happy that he is in Woodbury now. I had extreme pain and out-of-state dental insurance that wasn't accepted, however Dr. Singh took care of me at no cost! Would definitely recommend him to anyone! Extremely helpful and very nice!

Went to see Dr. Herman for the first time with my son yesterday. The office was clean and professional, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. My son was really happy with the doctor and the work performed. Later in the evening, Dr. Herman followed up with a call to see how my son was doing. That was a great personal touch that you don't get much of anymore these days. So far, we're very satisfied with our experience, and have made appointments for the rest of the family.

I had an emergency and called Doctor Herman's office. His assistant Amy called me back with in ten minutes stating to come right over. As soon as I arrived the Doctor immediately got me in the exam room and he was able to figure out what was wrong. He grinned down two teeth and told me to take Tylenol and Advil and should feel better As soon as I got home it started to feel better. I would recommend Doctor Herman to everyone. He is fantastic and looking forward to many years of dealing with him.

This has been a horrible experience. The only thing that is correct at this time is the costs & even that was mis directed. I was told I'd have all my teeth extracted & new dentures all done at the same office & all in 1 day. This did not happen. After my impressions were done & paid for upfront, Dr. Turner(the surgeon) didn't even attempt to schedule me an appointment for surgery & Was basically sent on my own to find a surgeon at addition costs than were discussed. I had to have my surgery(at another office with a different Dr.). At my appointment with Dr. Herman to have my dentures put in one week AFTER my surgery I was sent home with teeth in hand, not in mouth where they're supposed to be as he actually tried to force them in place due to the swelling & after I was told by EVERYONE IN THE OFFICE "don't worry bout the swelling or stitches to fit the teeth" on previous calls. Nothing this office told me has been accurate & I was given no guidance on procedure & timing etcetera. This has been the most disappointing health related event in my entire life & am regretting having done it. I cannot recommend this office to others & I would recommend to my friends & family not to go here. In fact anyone who reads this should go elsewhere. I don't even want to go back to get my dentures fitted properly which is something I should be excited about but unfortunately I am not. I'm more depressed now than when I was with a mouthful of rotten nasty stinky teeth & wish I could go back to that situation & start over but I am trapped here until my next appointment to supposedly have my teeth fitted whenever that may be.

I recommend this dentist every chance I get. His work is excellent, eager to please, thorough, careful, and a very nice person to boot. He never hurts me, not once, neither. He's the best dentist I have ever had in my adult years. I am truly grateful to have found him.

DR. HERMAN IS A WONDERFUL DENTIST. HE IS FRIENDLY AND WITH LOTS OF EXPERIENCE. HIS OFFICE STAFF IS WONDERFUL AND ALWAYS WILLING TO HELP THE BEST WAY POSSIBLE. I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO BE SEEN RIGHT AWAY WHEN I HAD AN EMERGENCY. I TRULLY RECOMMEND DR. HERMAN. ITS A FAMILY FRIENDLY OFFICE.
