Dr. Gimbel is a highly respected member of the dental community who was inducted into the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Endodontics in 2010. Currently a clinical assistant professor at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine where he teaches at the Post-Graduate level. Dr. Gimbel has been pursuing the study of dentistry and endodontics since 1988.
Upon graduating with a bachelors degree in Biology/Chemistry from the State University of New York at Albany, Dr. Gimbel attended the University of Pennsylvania School Of Dental Medicine. After earning his doctorate in 1988, he completed post-graduate education in the field of endodontics at UMDNJ in 1992.
Dr. Gimbel has received various awards throughout his career. Most recently, he was listed among the top dentists of New Jersey in the New Jersey Monthly Magazine for 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2005. He was awarded the Certificate of Merit from the Harvard University Department of Endodontics in 1999 and was invited back to lecture at Harvard University in fall 2014. He serves on the Corporate Relations Committee for the AAE 2016-2019.
Dr. Berry is part of both Montville Endodontics, L.L.C. and Marc P. Gimbel, D.M.D., L.L.C. Dr. Berry graduated on the Deans List from UMDNJ/Rutgers School of Dentistry and was one of the top students in the post-graduate endodontic program at the dental school in Newark. He completed his general practice residency at Woodhull Medical Center in Brooklyn where he received advanced training in oral surgery and restorative dentistry. Dr. Berry has advanced training in the latest microscopic techniques for both root canals and root canal surgery. As an undergraduate, he attended Yeshiva University, graduating Cum Laude. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics.
Rena L. Kreitman, DMD, is an Endodontist who completed her post-graduate specialty training at the prestigious Rutgers School of Dental Medicine Postgraduate Endodontics Department. During her residency, Dr. Kreitman was selected to present her research at the 2018 Annual meeting for the American Association of Endodontists. Dr. Kreitman was selected to join Dr. Gimbel at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where she will teach Endodontics part time as an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Endodontics.
Prior to specializing in Endodontics, Dr. Kreitman graduated from The University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Dr. Kreitman continued her dental education and clinical experience by completing a General Practice Residency at University Hospital in Newark, NJ, where she performed dental procedures for medically compromised patients and those with serious traumatic injuries. Dr. Kreitman is a talented, compassionate, and sensitive provider, making her patients feel comfortable and at ease. She is also fluent in Hebrew.

The gratitude I feel towards Dr. Marc P. Gimbel is overwhelming! His knowledge, techniques, and compassion are Fabulous! I have had root canals performed by other practitioners, but my experience with Dr. Gimbel was Far Superior! Also, I never felt a hint of pain. Speaking from experience "Dr. Gimbel is the BEST!!" His staff is wonderful too!

Dr. Kreitman and the entire practice are excellent. Very caring, patient and, efficient. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who needs an Endodontic procedure done. I am very pleased with the expediency in which they got me in to do my root canal in addition to the level of professionalism exhibited by Dr.Kreitman and her staff! Oh, and it was painless!!

SIX Star Review/ As A lifelong Dental Phobic my fear level was well beyond standard garden variety anxiety. From first contact to completion of my procedure I was completely at ease, From my initial phone call I was greeted by Julie & Marge who's professionalism was outstanding,efficient & above all an incredible display of kindness & sympathy.The professional staff including Dr Marc Gimbel & Dr Kreitman went above & beyond to allay my concerns. The procedure itself was so gentle as to have allowed me to actually FALL ASLEEP. I do not typically write reviews but felt compelled in this case. Thanks " A Million " .

5 Stars! Dr Gimbel has a great office, great team and has a very professional environment. Visiting Dr. Gimbel's office was such a pleasure, I am usually frightened when I go to the dentist, especially if it is a specialist. I can completely say that Dr.Gimbel was very caring and a respectful provider that was able to assess all of my necessary dental needs. He was very gentle and took his time while doing my root canal. The office staff is also very friendly, warm and welcoming and set the tone for the entire office to allow comfortability for their patients. I would recommend Dr.Gimbel to anyone who need to get any root canals or endo related procedures done .

I was very pleased with kindness and thoroughness of the service that I received. Dr.Gimbel was so gentle, did a great job with my root canal and helped me feel at ease. The staff is very helpful, explained what they were doing and educated me on what was being done. I trust this dentist, office and have been very pleased finding them. Highly recommend!

Dr. Gimbel is one of the nicest doctors I have met. He is thorough, knowledgeable and kind. He took the time to explain the scans and the next steps. I have never felt so happy seeing a dentist. Not many doctors you meet are kind and I feel being kind and caring should be a prerequisite for any doctor. I'm so glad I visited him.

I was shopping around for an Endodontist for a root canal and after extensive research decided to go to this office because of the information I received on the phone walking me through all of my questions. The woman on the phone was not only extremely clear about the fees, potential costs, and timeline for the procedure, she was upfront that it was important that I call the provider directly and make sure the doctor was covered under the plan. Once I verified this myself, I was ready to book my appointment. When I arrived at the office, I realized I was greeted by the same woman from the phone. The office manager worked with me through the paperwork. The office was amazing because they provided me with various alternatives on how I can pay. I decided to pay extra on my co-pay because I didn't want to leave a credit card on file. Not only did the procedure go smoothly, the after-care customer service from the office was outstanding. One month later, I received a check because I overpaid! 10/10, thanks Dr. Gimbel.

Decades ago I had a root canal on a molar, and only recently had problems with it. An abscess developed along the gum, and my dentist told directed me to an Endodontist. Dr. Craig Berry was in my network and had quite a few positive reviews - after my surgery this week, I can see why. He was fantastic to deal with, smart, organized, efficient explaining what was going on and making sure I was comfortable during the entire procedure. He and his assistant functioned in perfect harmony as she got instruments ready before he even asked for them. The office is clean, well-run, and for my initial visit and the surgery itself, the wait time was minimal. I lucked out with no post op pain, and my abscess is gone. Thank you Dr. Berry...very well done!

As a practicing endodontist myself, I have recently discovered that I need my first root canal treatment. The only person I thought of going to is Dr. Gimble. I trust him completely when it comes to endodontics. He is top tier in terms of bedside manner, technical skills and always up to date with the newest technology. The procedure was painless from anesthesia to closure. Even with decades of experience under his belt, he still treats every case with such detail and focus! The office staff are equally amazing. Everyone is so warm, friendly and helpful! As we joked about now I know exactly how all our patients feel like, the root canal was finished. Absolutely an amazing experience!

We had a terrible experience with the office manager, who asked us for our credit card as soon as we walked through the door and sat down. She was going to charge the card right then between $500-$750 before we saw the dentist. We have insurance they accept and have met our deductible. When we refused to put our credit card on file she said that would cost us another $100 on top of the wide cost range she by her own words "guestimated'. I have never had this happen at any office before, and we refused, as this is why we have dental insurance and would like to see the final bill for services rendered and see what we owe after Aetna processes and pays. She told us they will not see us if we do not give them our credit card, I guess so they can make as much money as possible. We left without seeing the dentist as we do not enjoy getting extorted for cash. I will be reporting this to Department of Insurance and Banking.
