Dr. Marc Geissberger was born in San Francisco and raised in Marin County. He attended Marin Catholic High School. He earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Saint Marys College in Moraga, California. After completing his undergraduate degree he attended the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1991. While in dental school he served as class president his first two years and as student body president during his final year. Additionally, he was elected into Omicron Kappa Upsilon and Tau Kappa Omega dental honor societies for scholastic excellence. In 1994 Dr. Geissberger earned a Masters of Arts in Educational Psychology from the University of the Pacific School of Education.
Dr. Geissberger has been awarded fellowship in the International College of Dentists, American College of Dentists, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy. He has won several teaching awards and completed a fellowship with the American Dental Education Associations Leadership Institute. He has served as the President, President-Elect and Vice President of both the Supreme Chapter of Omicron Kappa Upsilon and University of the Pacifics Alumni Association.
Dr Geissberger teaches several continuing education courses for fellow practitioners. He has presented 450 lectures and hands-on workshops to colleagues in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia, Mexico, Peru and Taiwan. He has co-authored and published numerous scientific papers and a textbook entitled Esthetic Dentistry in Clinical Practice for Wiley-Blackwell. Additionally, he is a Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Nutrition Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine.
Dr. Geissberger enjoys time spent with his wife, Christine and their three children, Justin, Robbie, and Annika. They enjoy travel, golf, gardening, and working on old cars. Dr. Geissberger also enjoys painting. You can see several of his works hanging in the dental office.
Jeffrey Geissberger was born and raised in Greenbrae. He attended Marin Catholic High School, class of 1986. He graduated St. Marys College in Moraga, earning a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology and Psychology, class of 1990. Along with a large group, he helped start the Knights of Columbus chapter at St. Marys College, where he became a Third Degree Member. He attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1993. He played an active role in leadership, serving as his First year Class President, and Student Body President. He joined his father, Dr. Louis Geissberger and brother Dr. Marc Geissberger in private practice in 1993. He taught at University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in the pre-clinical removable prosthetic department and with the clinical operative department for five years.
He is an active member of the Marin County Dental Society. He served with the Basic Life Support/CPR team, training MCDS members and staff; he served on the Dental Assistant Advisory Committee helping educate Dental Assistants through their curriculum; he served as Director at Large representing the MCDS to the State of California; he served as President of the Marin County Dental Society in 2003; and he served the Peer Review Committee. He is also a member of the California Dental Society and American Dental Association.
Giving back is something he learned from his parents. Jeffrey has volunteered at the Hanna Boys Center in Sonoma since 1993 performing dental care for the boys attending Hanna. He also served on the Board at Hanna Boys Center. Since his fathers passing, he now serves as a Board Member for the Marin Community Clinics. Philanthropically he chooses to make donations to Marin Catholic High School, St. Marys College in Moraga, and Hanna Boys Center.
Continuing Education is an extremely important part of personal growth, professional skills, services and techniques needed to stay on the leading edge of Dentistry. Jeffrey has taken numerous continuing education courses from Dr. Raymond Bertolotti studying minimally invasive dentistry, adhesion and bonding. He has studied and trained at the Spear Education Center attending seminars, hands on workshops, and completed the Frank Spear Study Club module. He has completed a live patient implant placement course with the Engel Institute, performing sinus lifts, hard and soft tissue grafts, and implant placement. He loves the team of educators he found with Clinical Mastery Series, some of the best educators in the field of dentistry, which emphasize functional comprehensive dental care. He uses Gold Dust Dental Lab for all of his cosmetic and restorative needs.
Jeffrey and his wife Danielle live in Kentfield with their three children, Hayden, Jarred, and Ashlyn. We are enjoying watching our family grow and play a variety of sports. You may find us hiking on Mount Tam, or watching our children play volleyball, soccer, football, flag football, rugby, CYO basketball, lacrosse, swimming, skiing and golf.

Dr. Geissberger was highly recommended to me by another dental practitioner out of my area. I felt instantly comfortable and at ease with Dr. Marc and his friendly staff. I was in need of a new crown and some bonding, and Dr. Marc listened to me, answered all of my questions (very patiently) and even texted me back after hours. I am so ecstatic about my new smile! I absolutely love it. It is above and beyond what I expected, and I owe it all to Dr. Marc. Dr. Marc was extremely professional, personable and really is an artist. He was extremely meticulous about every detail and very deliberate in his intent to satisfy his patient. He did! I would highly recommend Dr. Marc. You will not be disappointed. I had my two front teeth replaced with caps after injuries sustained playing sports. Dr. Marc & Jeff's cosmetic attention to detail and customers service/experience are unmatched in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Geissberger is so professional and he takes great care in his work. The work he did on my front tooth was amazing and ultimately resulted in me pleading with him to creat my new smile! His is a clearly passionate about making a difference in his Patients and he and his staff have allowed me to smile again with confidence. Thank you Dr G!

Short version - Dr. Marc Geissberger is an outstanding dentist (no matter how complex the problem) and everyone is his office is a top notch professional. I highly recommend him and his staff for both routine work (cleaning, etc) and any level of required dental surgery. The front end process (scheduling) is also extremely well managed by two highly competent and kind individuals. If you want more details, see below. Long version - My father was a dentist (and you likely understand what that means when it comes to evaluating dentists) and I had the same dentist (who was fantastic) for the last 10 years. We recently moved to Mill Valley, CA and I had to find a new dentist (right in the middle of Covid and half way through a dental implant process). Luckily, Dr Marc was recommended to me. After years of needing very little dental work, I have had a bad streak lately (replaced cap, fix old filling, implant for tooth that had to be pulled last year). So, I have had the chance to experience Dr. Marc's skills quite a bit. He is technically highly competent and has great "chair side" manner. He also has an excellent network. The person he referred me to for part of the implant process (putting in the implant itself) was also outstanding. I go for cleanings quarterly and have experienced a couple of different hygienists. They also have the highest level of skill, quality, and empathy. I have a bad gag reflex and they take such great care to minimize any issues with that. The front office staff are kind and very efficient and very good at helping find a schedule that works. I love that the office opens at 7am. If I have to go to the dentist, I want to get it over with first thing in the morning. The office is easy to find and parking is free and plentiful.

Personally, I felt that at every part of the procedure he was concerned on how I was doing. He made sure I was comfortable at all times. Continually asking "doin' ok Jess", and if I didn't answer he would make sure to ask again a little later just in case. Definitely much more of a caring attitude than I have had at many other dental offices. Besides his bedside manner you could tell his dental team trusts him and works hard for him as well. Everyone from his front desk to his assistants are happy to have you there and it's very easy to feel welcome the entire time you're there. An amazing dental experience.
