Dental crowns (also known as caps) are designed to fit over individual teeth in a snug fashion, covering their existing structure with a lifelike replacement that renews and protects whats underneath. The placement of crowns will also help maintain the harmony of your bite and the jaws natural alignment.

There are several materials available for dental crowns; our recommendation for your unique case will depend on the location of the treated tooth, your personal preferences, and the scope of your budget. In most cases, we ask you to strongly consider all-ceramic crowns, which look and feel natural and will blend right in with the rest of your smile.

We will typically use dental crowns to restore decayed or damaged teeth, but they can also be used to cover implants and protect teeth after root canals. Additionally, we can use dental crowns to correct flaws like misshapen or permanently discolored teeth. The only way to know with certainty is to visit our office. Dr. Dandois will examine your mouth to decide if a dental crown is the right restoration for you.
