Dr. Thakkar received his bachelors degree in Computer Science from Chicago, Illinois in 2005. He then moved to Boston to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. During his senior year of dental school, he was honored to serve the veterans at the VA hospital in Togus, Maine. He graduated from dental school in 2009 and had an opportunity to help the underserved population in the south of Chicago for two years. He finally deiced to move to Texas in 2011 because he fell in love with the warm weather and warm-hearted people of Texas.
Dr. Thakkar has been practicing dentistry for over seven years and is committed to keeping up with the latest advances in modern dentistry. He completes many times the required number of continuing education hours every year. He genuinely believes every patient should be treated as one of his family members. He is passionate about dentistry and loves helping his patients improve their smiles and quality of life. Dr. Thakkar is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and the Texas Dental Association. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Kelly, and son, Yash when he is away from doing dentistry.
After graduating from UTHSCSA,Dr. Pham spent three years serving as dental directorfor four public health clinics in South Texas.While working in public health, Dr. Pham realized he had a heart for public service and gained his expertise in performing dental surgeries.
Dr. Pham is also certified in oral sedation and believes that sedation dentistry is an excellent option for people who have increased anxiety about visiting the dentist.In his spare time,Dr. Pham is a passionate musicianthat can play many instruments.He enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and two children and being outdoors in the Texas Hill Country. He is also an avid runner and has participated in the Rock N Roll half and full marathon four years in a row.
Dr. David Gu has always been committed to putting his patients first and providing both the best patient experience and clinical care. Dr. Gu is an alumni of Harvard School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, and he also completed his specialty training in Orthodontics at the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington.
When hes not working on giving patients a reason to smile, he loves finding new ways to combine his love for photography and traveling. Having lived in the Southeast, Northeast, and Northwest, he has been excited to call San Antonio home. He lives with his wife, who is a military dentist proudly serving the United States Air Force, and their two adopted shelter cats Merona and Beckham.
