My passion for dentistry began as I joined the United States Army Reserves as a dental assistant. From those early days until now I still get excited to learn and develop my talents and skills. I graduated from the University of Oklahoma school of dentistry in 2006, and I continue my education by completing a rigorous residency in advanced education and general dentistry. Since then it has only gotten better and better. The more I learn the more exciting Dentistry becomes. Of all the things I have learned, the key to enjoying dentistry is the relationships that are created with each patient and with the most wonderful staff. We absolutely have the best patients in the world and the best staff in the world!
When I am away from the office, I am generally home with my beautiful family. My lovely wife Emily and our five children. Preston, Wyatt, Emma, Zane , and Ava. Our family enjoys going on walks, riding bikes, playing soccer and being together playing games. Emily and I continue to grow closer as the years tick by. We spend most of our time keeping up with our kids and whatever they are involved in.
Dr. Joe has been practicing dentistry since graduating from The University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 1991. He started his career at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, in a one year residency program for Advanced Education in Dentistry. After his residency he completed two years of general practice with the US Air Force. He has been in several different practice settings during his 22 years of experience and taken hundreds of hours of hands-on continuing education to keep up with the latest techniques in dentistry. Hes a former adjunct professor at The University of Iowa and has been a member of The American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Academy of Laser Dentistry and a few others.
I was born and raised in Tucson, AZ. I attended Brigham Young University where I received a degree in public health. I then attended The Ohio State University where I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery. After working in a small town in Montana for a year, I returned home to Tucson. I have been married to my wife Alyssa since 2014 and we have two amazing little girls. If free time is to be found, I enjoy running, cycling, playing soccer and enjoying the great outdoors.

I recently had a broken molar extracted and bone graft in preparation for an implant. I have had similar work done previously (due to injury),; however, this was my first opportunity to work with Dr. Gibbons. The extraction of the fragile tooth from solid bone proved more labor intensive than anticipated. Throughout the procedure Dr Gibbons was proficient, professional, polite and cordial. He kept me informed of the progress, exhibiting extreme patience and professionalism while calmly working through undoubtedly frustrating progress. At no time did he display any frustration or concern other than a comforting what ever comes up we will take care of attitude. I highly recommend Dr Gibbons and will seek out his help for future needs.

Marana Sky Dental has been great, Dr. Moeller has been awesome a real professional and does a great job. The staff here are very nice and professional. Kate, my dental hygienist is the best, she does the best job ever I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dental hygienist.

My first filling in many years, and I was a little anxious about the numbing process. But I never felt the injections, as Dr Gibbons has an effective technique. All I experienced was what felt like light tapping if his hand on my gums. Quick procedure with no issues.

Unless something for some unforeseen reason changes. This is the best dental office. In some offices I have felt like it was sicensweet. Marana Shi is genuine. Folks there really come across loving their work and where they work. This is a private practice, not some big corporation. I am seeing Dr. Moeller and could not be more satisfied. I will never see another dentist. H has done 2 fillings and a crown. His work is top draw and excellent. I could not wish for more.

I am impressed with how quickly the office staff was able to get me an appointment. Very pleasant staff from the receptionist to the dental assistant. Dr. Van Cleve is awesome! He explained the treatment plan and fixed my crown.

Marana Sky first provides status of your teeth that in my case included a prioritized list of issues that are likely to require attention for protection of my teeth. This is very valuable for managing budget, leveraging dental benefits, and maximizing oral health. When work is done, time is taken to explain, deliver perfection, while also being efficient. I've relocated often so have worked with many dentists, Marana Sky is in clearly the top quartile.

The staff at Marana Sky Dental are everything a patent could want - friendly welcoming and professional. Dr Gibbons always puts importance into listening and Kate is the kindest most gentle hygienist anyone could ask for. Still amazed I have never had pain here after a history of extensive work and can simply always count on exceptional care.

Excellent care- our hygienist is friendly, competent, and efficient. The practice does a great job of staying on time, and we like their Smile Program which makes dental care more affordable then "insurance". We originally switched a few years ago because they offer Friday appointments, we are staying because it's an excellent dental care office.

The entire staff here is so nice! I was greeted by name when I walked in the door (it's only my third time there, so I was pleasantly surprised). Dr. Joe did an excellent job with the shots in my mouth before prepping the tooth for a temporary crown. Getting oral injections is never a pleasant experience, but his technique made the process bearable. Throughout the time he was dealing with my tooth, I got a kick out of Dr. Joe's singing while he worked. The assistant was also very nice and I was able to see the 3D images of my teeth and how the crown was going to be made. That was a new experience for me! They seem to have the latest knowledge available for use with their patients.

We are a family of 5 and have been going to Marana Sky Dental since they opened. We are very happy with all the staff. Kate our hygienist is the best! Me and daughters say she makes us feel like family . My son just met Tito the hygienist and love the fact that he spoke his language about video games he will definitely be requesting him again.
