I love being an orthodontist, and I have selected a team that not only enjoys the practice of orthodontics but enjoys working together as well. We love the art of problem-solving while straightening teeth, and are privileged to develop relationships with our patients over a period of time. I get to contribute to our patients quality of life and self-esteem, and give them a great smile that will last a lifetime. I am blessed to get to come to work and truly enjoy what I do every day.
By participating in continued education courses every year, I am able to stay current with the latest technology and orthodontic treatments. This enables me to provide the best possible care to my patients and ensure successful treatment outcomes. I am also involved in many professional organizations, which keeps me connected to the greater dental and orthodontic fields.
I am originally from Cincinnati and now reside in Nashville with my wife Diana and our children, Krissy, Michael, and John Paul. I like to listen to all different types of music, and living in Music City, USA has given me a real appreciation of many genres. I also enjoy fishing, boating, and traveling with my family.
I've worked for many years in the medical field in customer service. I enjoy helping people and making a positive impact in their lives. I'm happy to be a part of this amazing group here at Mappes Orthodontics.
I've been happily married for 27 years, and we have one daughter who is a sophomore in college. My family and I believe in the importance of helping others less fortunate, so we do various mission work locally and abroad.
I take a real interest in developing relationships with my patients and learning about their families and interests. I want them to look forward to coming to see us! I love watching our patients grow in self-esteem and confidence, and to see them excited about their smiles changing and the difference this makes in their lives. I have been in orthodontics for 30 years and consider it a privilege and blessing to be part of the Mappes Orthodontics team!
I am married with two sons and four grandsons. We have a dog named Lenny. I enjoy spending time outside walking, hiking at Montgomery Bell, traveling with my husband, shopping, and mostly spending time with my family.
I help our patients develop the confidence and self-esteem that comes with a beautiful smile. We work with people of all ages, so we encourage everyone to participate in their treatment and educate and motivate them to maintain good oral hygiene. Dr. Mappes goal is always to have the time to treat his patients and his staff as individuals, with the development of personal relationships being a top priority. I have been in the orthodontic field for more than 20 years. I really enjoy the people I work with; they make working fun!
I graduated from Volunteer State Community College in 1999 and have worked as a RDA since. For me, being a part of such a caring, meticulous practice is very fulfilling. It's an awesome feeling to know that our patients, whether they are family, friends, or both, are receiving the highest level of care. I have every confidence in Dr. Mappes talent for explaining treatment options, and making orthodontics as fun and painless as possible. He stays up to date with the latest technology and delivers smiles beyond compare.
I have been a dental assistant since 1984 and enjoy working in orthodontics. It gives me great pleasure seeing the before and after pictures of our patients and see how their smiles are transformed. Reflecting on my years here with Dr. Mappes and staff have been a treasure of smiles in the making. I have been so blessed to have been a part of this adventure.
I have been married to a wonderful man for 30 years. We have three beautiful daughters we treasure and enjoy spending time with. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling and time spent outdoors, planting flowers, gardening, walking, and time with friends and family.
I joined the Mappes Orthodontic Family in 2008 and have loved my job ever since. It is such a joy to help people enhance their confidence by making their smiles more beautiful. I truly believe we are able to help improve not just their smiles, but also their journeys through life. I feel so blessed to work for one of the kindest people I have ever known and with a group that is more like a family to me than co-workers. We all love getting to know our patients and even watching so many grow up right before our eyes.

We love everybody at Dr Mappes' practice. They are very patient and answer all of my daughter's questions. I love their payment plans too. It's much easier to budget for braces monthly than all at once.

I went to see Dr. Mappes for a consultation for possible braces. I had the best experience from the second I walked in to his office. The lady at the front desk called me by my first name and was so polite. The lady who called me back and took me to my room was super amazing. She was very friendly and welcoming. I was very impressed with Dr. Mappes. He was so nice and very knowledgeable. I'm so glad I went with him. Dr. Mappes and his staff are amazing and I had the best experience ever. Can't wait to go back.

We went to see Dr. Mappes for a consultation for our daughter. Our experience was amazing from the moment we walked in the door. The ladies at the desk were happy to see us and very welcoming. Then the lady who showed us to the room and Dr. Mappes couldn't have been nicer. This was the 3rd place we have gone for a consultation and we will definitely be returning to Dr. Mappes for our orthodontic needs!

What amazing people! My daughter liked the fact on our first visit the ladies knew her name when we walked in the door. Everyone makes you feel very comfortable especially Cindy. Dr. Mappes makes my daughter giggle and she is very comfortable with him. He is great at explaining what is going on and how he is going to fix it. I highly recommend the office.

I had to get braces a 2nd time of course I used another ortho In Brentwood I had a lot better luck! due too mappes didn't pull 4 teeth so my teeth went back to the way they were due to my mouth was an is small and narrow I wasn't impressed at all theirs better Dr.Sjursen is Fantastic takes his time very detail oriented I had to have braces another 3 1/2 years but my teeth are straight and no over Bite!

Just like the other review says, they're really good at promising things they can't keep. Was assured Invisalign was only going to take a year, but after the year was up was told that they made a mistake on my "bite" and they said they weren't going to fix it. Customer service wasn't on point either. It's a shame because they were great at the beginning (and only the beginning) and I was telling multiple people to try them out, good thing it didn't take long for me to find out how they really were, would've been a tragedy for me to lead others to a series of unfortunate events to say the least. Oh, and not to mention when they made my own mother cry of embarrassment. Great job Mappes Orthodontics!

Told me braces would be off in 1 year but had them for 2. I understand maybe being off a few months but an entire year is unacceptable. Told me all gaps would be closed but it wasn't until after the braces were payed for and about to come off that I was told due to the shape of my teeth they wouldn't all close. They should have told me that after the first X-rays so I don't spend money for a service I'm not getting. Very disappointed.
