Dr. Olsen began his dental career in 1985 in northern Utah. He completed his undergraduate studies at Utah State University prior to receiving his degree of Doctorate of Dental Science from Northwestern University.
After visiting his sister in Davidson, he fell in love with the area. He thought this would be a great place to start a new practice. So, in 2005, he and his lovely wife, Missy moved to Huntersville to begin another chapter of their life.
He is an active member of The American Dental Association and The North Carolina Dental Association. His membership in these organizations, as well as his completion of several advanced cosmetic dentistry courses, has allowed him to remain current on the most beneficial and cutting edge dental treatments.
Dr. Olsen is well known by his patients for being a kind and considerate dentist. He cares for them with respect for their individual needs and concerns. Throughout his 25 years in the dental field, Dr. Olsen has developed a reputation for paying close attention to detail and providing patients with the highest quality care. His gentle and calm disposition ensures patients have an excellent experience when they visit the dental office.
Dr. Michael Humphries is a Charlotte native that joined Maple Springs Dental in June of 2021. He received his bachelors degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and then completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine where he graduated with honors. He has received extensive training in all aspects of dentistry and is passionate about improving the oral health of his patients.
Dr. Humphries is an active member of both the American Dental Association and the North Carolina Dental Society. He recognizes that dentistry is a profession that requires a lifelong pursuit of current science and technologies and he continually strives to improve the care he provides to his patients.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Humphries enjoys being outdoors and loves keeping his hands busy. He enjoys traveling, fishing, hiking/camping, wood working, playing the piano, and spending the majority of his free time with his wife Kelci and their dog Stevie.
Dr. Humphries speaks Spanish fluently and his patients describe him as gentle, friendly, and professional. His compassion and easy-going nature are attributes that serve his patients well and he is excited to be a member of the Maple Springs Dental family.

Dr. Brandon Morales joined Maple Springs Dental in August of 2020. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biotechnology from California Polytechnic State University of Pomona in 2015. He then continued his education by attending Midwestern University Dental School in Arizona and received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2020. Dr. Morales is Invisalign certified with clinical experience in many aspects of general dentistry including Crown and Bridge, Tooth Colored Fillings, Extractions, Dental Implant Therapy and Root Canal Therapy.
Dr. Morales and his fiancee, Brianna relocated to the Charlotte area after his graduation. Their journey to North Carolina started after a trip through Raleigh and Asheville during his time in Dental School and knew right away it was where they wanted to call home. They are very excited to settle down and start a family in an area that allows them to experience all four seasons and be around forests and lakes. They have two dogs, a foxhound and a corgi that they spend a lot of their free time with. They are also avid sports fans and look forward to cheering on the Carolina Hurricanes.
Professionally, Dr. Morales is an active member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. He is a first-generation dentist and appreciates how dentistry allows him to help his patients while building lifelong relationships. Dr. Morales strives for an exceptional dental experience for each patient. He listens to his patients needs and concerns in order to allow him to deliver quality dental treatment that is focused on each patients specific needs to maintain and/or improve their oral health.
Dr. Vivian Nguyen is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and Cum Laude honors in 2017. She graduated with a Doctorate in Dental Medicine in 2021 while receiving the Community Dentistry and Dental Public Health award from the American Association of Public Health Dentistry. She is originally a native of Greenville, NC. Dr. Nguyen has been trained in various rural ECU dental clinics located throughout NC including Sylva, Elizabeth City, and Davidson County.
Dr. Nguyen is interested in giving back to the people of North Carolina, which brought her to Statesville. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, American Association of Public Health Dentistry, NC Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. She believes it is important to stay educated on the ever-changing advancements in dentistry through CE courses and connecting with colleagues.
Dr. Nguyen enjoys talking to patients about their dental goals and coming up with a strong plan to help patients meet those goals. She is interested in building trust with patients and providing comprehensive care with comfort. Outside of dentistry, Dr Nguyen likes to try new restaurants, watch TV shows, cook new recipes, learn sewing, and travel. She loves her parents, younger sister, and golden-chow mix dearly. Dr. Nguyen believes that dental visits do not have to be scary. She looks forward to working with the Statesville community every day, and cannot wait to work with you!
