A Pearland native, she graduated from Pearland High School as Salutatorian of her class. She spent many summers tutoring children around the South Houston area, at Kumon Learning Centers, while also volunteering at nurseries at her local church, Second Baptist-Pearland. Dr. Abby then went on to complete her undergraduate education as a Helen Faison Scholar, at the University of Pittsburgh, on a full ride scholarship. She graduated summa cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and a Minor in Chemistry.
Upon graduating from the University of Pittsburgh, she was accepted into a competitive Pediatric Medicine, summer internship at the University of Rochester/Golisano Childrens Hospital where she studied Access to Dental Care and Dental Health of Non-Diabetic Children.She went on to attend the University of Texas-School of Dentistry at Houston, where she was honored, as an OKU Scholarship Recipient, due to her top 5 ranking during her first year of dental school. Dr. Abby graduated with her Doctorate in Dental Surgery, and successfully completed her Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She obtained her Post-Doctoral Masters in Oral Sciences, and also completed the necessary written and oral exams, to be Board-Certified in the specialty of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Abby is happily married to her husband, Stephen, a Clinical Informatics Analyst, and youth pastor, who is also a Houston native. Dr. Abby is excited to use her knowledge, and skills to serve the community that helped mold her into the clinician she is today. She can think of no other way to truly give back, than serving the children and families of Manvel/Rosharon, and its neighboring communities. Go Mavericks!

We pride ourselves in practicing ethically and honestly, always taking the time to explain our findings. We always consider all appropriate treatment options and try to present the most conservative plans, when possible. It is important for us to be helpful to our patients and answer any questions you might have regarding your childs dental care.

During your first visit, you will be introduced to our Pediatric Dental Team, given an office tour and and given an opportunity to discuss your child's unique smile and ways to keep it beautiful for years to come.
Depending on the age of your child, he or she will either be given a knee-to-knee examination (where your babys head will rest on our doctors knee while their body is on your lap) or a regular exam in the doctors chair.
Oral hygiene instructions will also be given with suggestions to help your child care for their own teeth. In most cases, we will also clean their teeth on this visit, and provide an evaluation that will outline any existing dental problems and proposed treatment.
A Pediatric Dentist, like Dr. Abby, is a specialist dedicated to the oral health of children and the monitoring of their facial growth and development. Our office is designed for treating children from infancy through adolescence, as well as the medically and the physically compromised. In our opinion, taking your child to see a pediatric dental specialist is as important as taking them to see a pediatrician.
When a Pediatric Dentist is Board Certified it means that the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry or ABPD certifies that the dental care being provided is based on standards of excellence that lead to high quality oral health care for infants, children, adolescents and patients with special health care needs. Certification by the ABPD provides assurance to the public that a Pediatric Dentist like Dr. Abby has successfully completed accredited training and a voluntary examination process designed to continually validate the knowledge, skills and experience necessary to deliver quality patient care.

I absolutely love this place. From the moment I called to schedule a new patient visit I felt more at ease about bringing my 2.5 year old daughter to see Dr. Abby. The atmosphere of Manvel Pediatric Dentistry is cheerful and welcoming and the staff are so good at what they do. Every step of the way throughout our visit went smoothly and the little tricks that the dental assistants used to calm and distract my daughter worked so well. Dr. Abby and her staff are amazing and have the kind temperments and patience of saints when dealing with my strong willed 4 year old. While my daughter was stressing about the experience (she has a bad gag reflex and was worried about throwing up) not a single member of the staff got frustrated or showed anything other than compassion while providing her options and distractions. All the while my 6 year old was just relaxed and doing her normal exam, having a great time. The whole office and staff are so welcoming and are really setting a foundation of self care for my girls and not having them grow up with dental anxiety (person struggles). I travel from Pearland to this practice for the service they give! You won't be disappointed in choosing them for your children!

From start to finish, the staff here was absolutely on point and amazing. One of my twin boys needed an extraction on his baby tooth, and from negative experiences at dentist offices before he had pretty bad anxiety. All of the girls here made sure to ease his anxiety and go at his pace. They were even patient with my over board mom hovering while he was getting his tooth pulled you will NOT regret using this facility. They are AMAZING and I will recommend them to everyone!!!!

Per my 11 yr old - "She (Dr. Abi) made me feel comfortable. She is nice. I liked the TV on the ceiling, and I feel like she probably gave us good advice." From a parents perspective, I would also give Dr. Abi's office 5 stars. From the very first telephone interaction with the office staff to the last "thank you" as we walked out the door, the service and patient care was exceptional!! The staff is courteous and engaging, and Dr. Abi is thorough, explains what she is doing and why, and answered every question I had. I would recommend her and her staff, without hesitation.

The whole experience was a very pleasant one. I was nervous as this was my son's first visit. The staff was very nice and Dr. Abby handled my fussy toddler like a champ. My son was resistant to having his teeth cleaned but she got it done quickly. I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful experience with Dr. Abby and the whole team!! Kids loved how easy the x-rays were and getting to watch tv while getting their teeth cleaned! Everyone was very friendly! Definitely happy to have found a great new dentist!

Dr. Abby was awesome with my son. He's almost turning two and it was definitely scary for him to go to the dentist for the first time. He fights anything that goes near his face but she was able to give him a good cleaning. She also gave me great tips on how to position him and brush his teeth at home. The staff was also very patient and nice to him considering he wanted to leave the second he stepped into the office.

We recently switched to Manvel Pediatric dentistry and we absolutely love it! Cleanliness and sanitation is one of the few things I look for. The staff is so friendly and was so sweet to our daughter. Dr. Abby is amazing and a professional at what she does! I definitely recommend this pediatric office for your children.

The staff here is absolutely amazing! I brought my seven year old and one year old in at the same time. The staff was so helpful and kept my one year old occupied by playing with her while my seven year old was being taken care of. The are super kind, attentive, and great with my children. They definitely go the extra mile to make you comfortable and go into great detail to help you understand everything.

Since the first appointment dentist Abby was amazing! She took her time to hear my concern with my children's teeth. She is very friendly with the kids and what I love the most she allows you to be in with your child and support them! . She is amazing , i will continue to come with my kids here . She actually cares and tells you what's wrong !. Unlike my other dentist telling me to "monitor" her cavities ! . Dr Abby will let you know what work your child actually needs!

This was our first visit to the dentist. My daughter was worried and anxious. Dr Abi , the dental assistant, and the receptionist were so wonderful. The communication was clear and they all have a passion for working with children. My daughter felt at ease right away and left with a smile and sugar free sucker
