Dr. John Bauer grew up in Arlington, Texas where he met his wife and business partner, Terri. Terri Ann Brentlinger was raised on nearby Brentlinger Farm, just outside of Mansfield. Dr. Bauer and Terri married in 1974 when Mansfield had just 6,000 residents. They both attended Texas A&M University in the 70s, with John graduating from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1980 and Terri completing her dental hygiene degree a year later in 1981. Having always felt at home in Mansfield, they decided it would be an excellent place to raise a family and to build their dental practice. Decades later, they together run a thriving practice in the heart of Mansfield and attribute much of their success to the relationships they have built with their patients over many years. Many of those relationships span three or more generations. Though Mansfield has more than doubled in size since the early 70s, Dr. Bauer and Terri remain dedicated to their community and the families who live there. In fact, family is so important to them that they made it a part of their practices name, Mansfield Family Dentistry.
Dr. Bauer and Terri have never stopped learning. After hundreds of hours of continuing education, their practice is at the forefront of dental innovation. Dr. Bauer has emphasis on cosmetic, restorative, and implant dentistry and works tirelessly to learn the newest and most effective techniques. Terri manages their practice and performs treatment coordination, allowing Dr. Bauer to focus on what he does best tending to the dental needs of each patient.
Dr. Bauer and Terri feel that their greatest achievement is their family. They have four wonderful grown children, all of whom are each pursuing their own paths to success. They have blessed Dr. Bauer and Terri with eleven adorable grandchildren. Their oldest son, Brent, is an orthopedic trauma surgeon in Waco, Texas and is married to Catherine, and they are the parents of twins, Haynes and Adelaide, and son, Kenneth. Scott is a lawyer practicing in the area of oil and gas in Fort Worth, Texas. He and his wife, Jamie, live in Fort Worth and are loving parents to sons Braxton, and Brooklyn and daughter, Harper. Like his father, Cody studied dentistry at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He is now practicing with his parents. His wife, Stacy, is a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington. They are the proud parents of Blake, Tenley and son Noah. Their youngest child and Dr. Bauers pride and joy (and only daughter), Shelley, is also a graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Elementary Education. Shelley and her husband, Johathan Marzoq, are devoted parents to daughter Ella and son Lucas. Because family is so very important to Dr. Bauer, Terri, and their staff, their goal is for every patient they treat to feel like a member of their wonderful family.
Dr. Cody Bauer was born and raised in Mansfield, Texas where his father and mother have been running the dental practice for over thirty years. Dr. Bauer graduated from The Oakridge School in Arlington, Texas in 2000. He then attended the University of Texas in Austin where he was a member of the fraternity Lambda Chi Alpha and was also very active in the Texas Wesley student ministry organization. During college, he chose to follow in his fathers footsteps and join the field of dentistry. After earning a Bachelor of the Arts in Biology and graduating with honors, Dr. Bauer spent four years at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, where he earned a DDS degree.
While in dental school, he married his wife, Stacy. Dr. Bauer and Stacy have welcomed their daughters, Blake and Tenley, and their son Noah into their family and purchased their first home in Mansfield. Dr. Bauer is now practicing with his parents, Dr. John and Terri Bauer, in their new state of the art facility. He is very excited to be serving the community he has always called home.
When one walks into Mansfield Family Dentistry, first you will meet our front office staff, Kim, Stacie, Amy, and Chi. Our incredible family friendly atmosphere is accomplished through the office efforts of a highly trained staff that genuinely desires to meet the needs of each of our patients.
Terri, Dr. John Bauers wife and business partner, is one of the hygienists that heads up diagnostics and treatment coordination. She and the doctors spend a great deal of time helping patients achieve optimum dental health along with our highly educated hygienist team. Natalie is a long standing hygienist with the Practice. She began working with Dr. Bauer as a high school student. She truly cares for each of her patients and takes interest in not only their oral health, but also their personal lives. Jemma is another hygienist on the team. Her friendly smile and gentle touch make patients feel comfortable and at ease. The newest addition to the hygiene team is Jessica. She fit in immediately and is quickly making a name for herself.
The doctors are especially proud of their assisting team, Juan, Maria, Jaz, Courtney, Vanessa, Adisa, and Alyssa. They do an amazing job of giving each patient that added touch to make their visit to our office truly unique and memorable. The doctors require each assistant to have many hours of Continuing Education to maintain their high level of skill. The two employees not seen much but who hold the business end of the Practice in check are Amy and Nancy.

The best dental place I've ever been. Everyone is super friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The people that answer the phones are very friendly also which is the first impression to your clients. Been going there for 3 years now and everyone always says Hi and super friendly to everyone which speaks a lot about the owners. Just the Sweetest people. When you go in there it feels like visiting a family because everyone knows you. I would have given 10 stars if I could!

Clean and friendly staff. Billing department is disorganized. Consistently asked if we owed anything after each appointment, was told no. End of year received a large bill from insurance adjustments that had built up over the year. They understood how our insurance worked but gave us dentists in their office that was not covered due to miscommunication between their office and dentist. We pay all out and upfront, finances are a delicate process for most people, they do not take this into consideration when handling their patients.

This dentist is amazing! He really helped me with some gum issues that I was having and helped me figure out a plan on how to keep from getting gum disease in the future! I highly recommend them!

Best dentists and dentist office staff I've ever dealt with. Just had two wisdom teeth pulled 12-18-19. Everyone in the office is very nice and they explain the complete process and plan of treatment and costs and insurance coverage. I plan on sticking with them for a long long time.

The Bauers are amazing dentists and some of the kindest people I've ever met. Their staff treats you like family and seem to genuinely care about their patients. I've been a patient for probably 10 years now and they've helped me plenty of times and provide many options to solve your situation. I'm no professional but they seem to be masters of their craft. When having to get novacaine shots you barely feel it at all. If you're experiencing any pain they do they're best to provide relief. They're a little bit pricier than some of the cheaper dentists out there, but you definitely get what you pay for. I'd rather pay a little extra knowing I'm getting quality care than take a chance on another dentist that costs a little less. But like I said, although a bit more expensive, it's fair and I don't feel like I'm getting screwed. To the Bauers, I love you guys and thanks for all you do in our community! -Daniel

I have been coming here for at least 5 or 6 years now and I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. I even took my daughter out of her pediatric dentistry's care and brought her here at the age of 11 which I should of done from the beginning. Both father and son take pride in their work and to make you as comfortable as possible with the best care they are able to provide. And Jemma is the absolute best and sweetest person ever!

Mansfield Family Dentistry is a very clean friendly and modern office. Before visiting Cody I had pain chewing food and my bite was messed up from grinding my teeth. He put in 6 porcelain caps on my back teeth in without any issues. My teeth now look beautiful, my bite is fixed, and I have no pain from chewing. Getting these caps have already improved my quality of life and I'm thankful for Cody's suggestion to get them!
