Dr. Mansell, a native of Sandy, Utah, began his dental journey as an orthodontic assistant, where he learned that he had a passion for dentistry. Dr. Mansell attended, and graduated from, The University of Utah, where he earned his bachelors degree in Medical Biology. He continued his studies at Creighton University where he earned his DDS degree. After dental school, Dr. Mansell completed a prestigious one-year postdoctoral residency for implants and cosmetic dentistry at the University of Missouri Kansas-City.
In addition to implants and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Mansell has advanced training in Orthodontics and is a current member of the American Orthodontic Society. With a unique blend of relaxed, personable care and the latest technological, state-of-the-art dentistry, Dr. Mansell creates an exceptional dental experience for patients of all ages. He and his wife, Sarah, have four children. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Mansell enjoys golfing, watching his children play countless soccer games, and studying new ideas in dentistry.
Dr. Madsen is originally from Alpine, Utah. He attended BYU for his undergraduate degree then completed his Dental Training at University of the Pacific. Dr. Madsen is highly trained in all General Dentistry treatments but specializes in Dental Implants. He is also fluent in Russian.
Dr. Madsen has been married to his wife, Bethany, for 8 years and they have two fur babies, Luna and Darrow. When he is not creating beautiful smiles in our office, you can find him spending time with family and doing anything outdoors. He enjoys hiking, rock climbing, mountain biking, snowboardinganything adventurous.

What a fantastic practice! The entire staff including Dr Madsen, Sydne, Catrina, and the front desk are awesome! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and answers all questions and concerns. Most importantly all the work I had done was with care and very gentle. I highly recommend Mansell Family Dentistry!

I'll preface by saying this: If your insurance works with them, just go to Northlake Dentistry instead. They are so much better than Mansell in every sense. More detailed and full review is below: I was forced to switch dentists due to a change of employer and change of insurance. Mansell were able to see me the same day, which was nice. They e-mailed me the forms, which I filled out and sent back. When I arrived, they took my information and took me back. The first woman was nice enough and we chatted while she did x-rays. Nothing noteworthy. No caveties or real issues. I met with the dentist and he was nice enough. Looked in my mouth. Said there were no real issues aside from a little recession due to clenching my teeth (I knew about this and we chatted about this for a few minutes). The issues with my visit stemmed totally from the hygienist. She did a mouth exam as well and notified me that I had gum recession and was losing my bone density on some of my teeth. She proposed some type of laser treatment and went to talk to someone at the front desk. I was surprised, given what the dentist had just said. The front desk person came up and showed me proposed charges for over $500 that would have to be split over two visits due to insurance requirements. I declined and was asked to sign a piece of paper. I did and thought that was that. When the hygienist came back I explained I just wanted a dental cleaning (what I came in for). She went and got the laser cost breakdown and tried to explain to me why I needed it. I declined again. She said she would have to have me sign a release saying she had educated me and I was declining her recommendation. I said sure. She came back with a piece of paper that looked typed up on Microsoft Word (1 paragraph total), with various parts highlighted. The gist was that I wouldn't sue them for declining their laser treatment and was releasing them from any liability. At this point, I was rolling my eyes behind their company provided sunglasses and reiterated my desire to just get the dental cleaning. She asked if I meant the one that just made your teeth "look and feel pretty" and I said yes. I sat there while she took about 10 minutes to clean my teeth. It was really awkward and she didn't try to even really talk to me after I declined their laser treatments. She didn't offer fluoride (which I would have paid for) and then sat me up and asked me about booking an appointment six months out. At that point, I wasn't going to come back anyway - thankfully, i'm probably moving out of the area (though i'm relatively sure they thought I was lying when I said that) and won't need them again anyway. As I left they just said they would send the charge off to insurance and said it was nice meeting me. Never have I had a dental visit in my life that made me feel uncomfortable. My teeth don't even feel clean after visiting them for a dental cleaning. Definitely do not recommend Mansell and like I said in the opening, just go to Northlake Dentistry instead. It's where I used to go and I wish my insurance would let me go there. Regardless, I won't go back to Mansell.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist. Dr Mansell is seriously the best place. They were so gentle and kept me informed the entire time. This place makes you feel so at home even if you're a new patient. I came my first time and they were all so very sweet and made me feel like I belong. They take great care of their employees and are kind and patient with all of their patients! Best place around!!!!

I have been extremely impressed with Mansell Dentistry. I have been twice in the past 6 months, first for a crown and today for a cleaning. During my crown the doctor and staff worked hard to ensure that I was comfortable and pain free. Even when I tried to say the pain was tolerable and encouraged them to continue, they stopped the procedure to give me more medication so I was pain free. Excellent experience. Today for my cleaning the hygienist, saw I was scheduled for a very extensive cleaning. She took the time to do an exam first and informed me that the procedure was more than what was necessary for me and recommended a different cleaning, saving me a lot of time and money. I have so much respect for someone doing the right thing for the patient and saving them money instead of doing something that I didn't need. Thank for the exceptional care and service. I will definitely continue to come back.
