Dr. Maryam, as her friends and patients like to call her, is a South Bay native who decided there would be no better place to set up her practice and raise her family than in the beautiful city of Manhattan Beach. After receiving her B.S. in Biochemistry from UCLA she went on to achieve her D.D.S. degree from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco, considered by most to be one of the top Dental Schools in the nation. Dr. Maryams desire to bring her patients the latest in overall dental health makes her immerse herself in continuing education every year, leading her to become the first and as of now, only woman to ever achieve the status of Diplomate of the International Board of Orthodontics, the highest level obtainable. She has completed a yearlong residency with Tufts University of Medicine on sleep apnea. In November 2011 she achieved the status of Diplomate and Master of Excellence with the American Board of Craniofacial pain. In 2014 she achieved the status of Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine.
Dr. Maryam is a General Dentist that is qualified in the field of functional orthodontics, TMJ, snoring and sleep apnea with over 24 years of post-graduate studies and experience in those areas. She has been trained by some of the worlds most renowned experts in the field of orthodontics, TMJ and sleep disorders. Her non-invasive treatment separates her from the traditional orthodontic providers who still extract teeth and use headgear, or treat with surgical intervention.
She enjoys bringing big beautiful smiles to her patients lives, but is driven by the fact she can also improve their overall quality of life while doing it. Dr. Maryam has successfully relieved her patients of Migraines, Allergies, Sleep Apnea, Snoring, ADHD, Tourettes, and Head & Neck pain, just to name a few. As Dr. Maryam likes to say It is your life, your health and that of your children, take the time to ask the questions to get it right.
She loves working at the front desk and being able to greet all our patients each day. Heather has 4 kids, 6 grandkids and 2 dogs. In her free time Heather enjoys knitting and playing with her dogs Mister and Sophie. I enjoy working for Dr. Maryam because she is passionate about what she does and give 100% of herself to each and every patient.
Olga ensures our patients are seen on time and talks to other medical and dental professionals about our Dr. Maryam and our office. She has been with Dr. Maryam for 20 years. Olga is married with 2 kids. Olga enjoys dancing, cooking, socializing and spending time with her friends and family. I love working for Dr. Maryam and seeing how she has changed peoples lives.
Daisy is your clinical assistant working side by side with Dr. Maryam and has been part of our team for 10 years. Daisy was a patient of Dr. Maryams when she was 14 years old and 11 years later shes helping Dr. Maryam treat patients just like her. In her free time Daisy enjoys reading, listening to music and spending time with her friends and family. I like working for Dr. Maryam because I believe in her treatment philosophy and know first hand how your jaw can effect your overall health. Braces are not about getting a pretty smile: its about your overall well-being.
Sam is your clinical assistant working in the lab and side by side with Dr. Maryam. He has been part of our team for 12 years. In his free time Sam enjoys reading, working on his house and watching sports on TV. I enjoy working for Dr. Maryam and working through the teeth and jaw challenges our patients have.
