Dr. Toan Tran grew up in Orlando, FL, and earned his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida. In 2001, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He has also undergone additional training from some of the nation's foremost professionals in endodontics (root canal therapy), aesthetics (cosmetic dentistry), dental implant restoration, facially generated treatment planning, oral appliance therapy for obstructive sleep apnea, custom athletic mouthguards, and orthodontics with ClearCorrect clear aligner therapy.
Dr. Tran is dedicated to providing all patients with the highest level of dental care, and he continues to exceed the requirements in continuing education. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Academy for Sports Dentistry, West Coast District Dental Association, Upper Pinellas County Dental Association, Hillsborough County Dental Research Clinic, Seattle Study Club of Tampa, and Pinnacle Study Club of Tampa Bay. He is also a member of the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Tran dedicates time to visit local K-12 schools during their health and hygiene education days. He also commits time to Great American Teach-in, and volunteers at the Gulf Coast Dental Outreach program and Florida Mission of Mercy (FLMOM).

I highly recommend Dr. Tran and his staff 100 percent. I drive 45 min plus from Riverview because of the service and accommodating scheduling I receive here. I own a daycare center so my schedule is so hectic. I texted their after hours line and was able to get an appointment on my day off for a cleaning within a 2 day notice.I then had an additional appointment scheduled for a week out for a filling but texted them after hours on a Sunday and they squeezed me in on Monday. Thank goodness they did or I would be suffering with that toothache for days later.

Dr. Tran has overcharged me and refuses to refund the $450.00 he billed over the pre-negotiated insurance fee he has agreed to. Additionally, he is still charging a PPE fee of $15.00 that was to be a temporary COVID fee and expired in 2021.

New-ish patient and I have had three appointments now, three routine cleaning appointments. Mangrove has canceled all three appointments. Really inconvenient and they appear unorganized and no one really knows what is going on.

Mangrove Bay changed the way I feel about dentists. Prior to visiting them, I had extremely bad experiences. Dr. Tran is thoughtful and caring, and Kathy is the best hygienist I've ever had work on my teeth. She is kind and caring, and does a great job on my teeth. I'm so thankful for her and for these positive experiences. The dentist is no longer a place that I fear visiting.

I broke my tooth and had to have it pulled immediately. They got me in right away and my tooth was pulled with no pain and recovery was minimal. Me swelling or pain afterwards.

Dr. Tran and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. His office is very neat, clean, comfortable and efficient. I know I'm in the best of hands when it comes to the health of my teeth!

I just moved to Tampa so finding a quality dental provider is high on my list. I felt welcomed and I didn't feel like they were just trying to take my money which is what I have felt in the past. The doctor is great and they took care of me. Looking forward to my next visit.

Horrible experiences here! Dr Tran was wrong about several things regarding the health of my mouth after I had a second opinion. This office is a high sales pressure experience every visit. Every time I received sales pitches for electric toothbrushes, expensive mouth guards, $30 toothpastes, water picks, etc. The last and final visit here, I was charged $20 for the office Covid 19 supplies. Imagine your dentist charging you and other patients $20 each to pay for their gloves and masks, disgusting practice! There are plenty of other dentists around and you cant do any worse than this place - AVOID THIS DENTIST OFFICE!

Dr. Tran and his staff are all very friendly, respective, and knowledgeable. I am always greeted with a smile and they do everything they can to accommodate me in an emergency. They are located very close to my office and about 5 of us go to Mangrove Bay Dentistry and all 5 of us LOVE Dr. Tran and his staff. We highly recommend everyone to leave their current dentist and start going to Mangrove Dentistry. You won't be disappointed!

Had a cleaning on 3/29/22. The Dental Assistant as well as the Dentist was great. Due to a chip on one of my tooth I need a crown. The lady that works at the front desk scheduled my apt for the crown for 3/31/22 at 3pm. I got there at 2pm. I go to check in and that same lady tells me that I don't have an apt, I reminded her that I was there 2 days ago and reminded her of our conversation. She literally forgot to schedule it, not sure how in the world that can happen. I am not able now to fix my chipped tooth because in less than 2 weeks I will be out of town. Although this is not the Doctor's fault, she works for him. It is evident that she needs training on scheduling appointments.
