Dr. Dat Mang grew up in Tampa, Florida in a family of whom he is one of six siblings. He was awarded an academic scholarship to attend Syracuse University in Upstate New York where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. After graduation, he worked in the field of electrical engineering for 4 years before deciding to go back to school to obtain his dental degree. He attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and received his DMD degree in 1999.
During dental school he was awarded a United States Army Scholarship for Academic Excellence and continued his postdoctoral education as a commissioned officer in the United States Army Dental Department. He was given the award, Dental Resident of the Year for excellence. Through the United States Army Dental Department, Dr. Mang was able to receive extensive training and invaluable knowledge in the practice of dentistry from which he could not have obtained elsewhere. He had two overseas deployments while in the United States Army, one in South Korea and the other in Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Dr. Mang opened his practice in 2004 soon after he returned from his deployment in Iraq.
Dr. Mang is committed to understanding the needs and desires of each patient and takes great pride in providing the best dentistry has to offer. Dr. Mang constantly stays current with the latest technology and advances in dentistry so that he can offer it to his patients. Dr. Mang is an active member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. He is also actively licensed in Florida and Pennsylvania.

Superb dentistry! Professional, clean and diligent. Not painful on the mouth or wallet. I've recently had a root canal and crown replacement with another dentist..$2200 later.. they tell me I need two more! I'm so happy and grateful a friend recommended me to Dr.Mang Dentistry instead! I Can't wait to get the rest of my dentist needs done for a fraction of the price!

Dr. Mang is an amazing dentist. He cares about his patients and I never feel rushed and he always answers my many questions. I've never had a dentist who has called me after hours when I had a root canal to check in on me. He literally saved my teeth. The whole staff is kind. I also really like Mary at the front desk. I give referrals for Mang dentistry to all my family and friends.

My favorite dental office ever! The ladies at the front desk are absolutely amazing! Friendly, helpful, and whenever I go in, they greet me with smiles all around! Dr. Mang's work amazes me every time I get a procedure done. He literally had to rebuild my mouth and I could not be happier with the results. Not to mention that whenever there is a treatment done, he will call his patients at the end of the day to follow up how they are feeling! Dr. Mang's assistant, William is the best I have ever met. He treats his patients with so much respect and his skills are amazing. I think I'm one of very few people that can say that I love to go to the dentist. Biggest five stars I have ever given!

Dr. Mang & his whole office staff are amazing!!!! He saved me so much money especially not having dental insurance! He also always made sure I was comfortable the whole time of my procedure. I can't thank him enough.

Mang Dentistry was an amazing experience that changed my perspective of dental/doctor visits overall. Not only did they fix a tooth that was causing intense and constant pain , they did it quickly with positive and humorous interactions that created a welcoming and, dare I say, a calm, comfortable experience. A great team and a great experience.

Dr. Mang & his staff are the best team! I appreciate their professionalism. After I had my tooth pulled by Dr. Mang, that evening he called to make sure everything is ok. Today I had my implant in the morning, & I just got a call from him (Sunday at 5:40 pm) to make sure everything is ok. He's very busy that we have to book months in advance.

Highly recommend. Dr. Mang is extremely skilled and his prices are fair, plus he will try to SAVE you money by not overcharging and recommending unnecessary stuff. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Excellent dentist. He saved my son from major bills and not only did he save his crown but he offered a extremely fair price for the procedure. He also fit him in same day when he only had an appt for the gluing of the crown. Highly recommend. This dentist will save you money and not gouge you like most. A+

Their crowns fit better then any other dentist I've been to, went here to get past ones that fall out repaired and they always feel better / stronger then the places I went prior, highly recommend! saved me money a few times by not upcharging and being a really fair dentist!

Was referred by a friend who had dental implants as I needed one. The staff here are super professional and kind. Dr. Mang is my kind of person. The costs were way cheaper than my other dentist and I was very happy about that. My implant was great! I have since referred my family and friends as well. Appts are on time with very little waiting. So happy I found this place.

I have visited many dentists around the globe in my 50 years, but have never had a better experience with extraction like today with Dr Mang. I feel like I never had tooth extracted. No pain whatsoever. Thank you Dr.Mang and your wonderful, friendly staff.

We drove 1 hour + to get there for crown and it was worth it! I have never had such wonderful experience with any dental office. Everybody was super super kind, Front counter, assistant, and Dr. Mang. Their charge almost like nothing compare to other offices. If the one we went to, the coast dental, was a hell, then this one was the heaven.

I truly cannot recommend Mang Dentistry enough. Dr. Mang is an amazing guy and dentist, constantly checking on me and asking if I'm okay during procedures. He also calls for a follow-up the same day after procedures just to check in! Mary is the sweetest and so kind, I love interacting with her. The staff has always been nice and accommodating. I've been going to Mang Dentistry for years and their service and prices are unbeatable (I drive over two hours for a visit & it's so worth it).

gets whatever you need done correctly but at the cost of an uncomfortable experience. the assistant was rough taking my X-rays and jammed the X-ray tool in the back of my throat. The doctor was pompous & disrespectful. I wish I knew their names so I could embarrass them how they did to me! They were laughing at my clothes (a T shirt & ripped jeans) & saying I had no money while in the middle of my operation. When I first walked in I was very polite & grateful to everybody but left feeling belittled. this was my 4th trip to this location it's my go to whenever i'm town. but after that I won't be returning any time soon.
