Dr. Mancini was born in the Bronx, NY and moved to Long Island at a young age. He grew up in Dix Hills, graduated from Half Hollow Hills High School and went on to attend Stony Brook University. There he received degrees in Economics and Psychology while taking all the required sciences to gain acceptance into Dental School. Dr, Mancini went on and Graduated from Georgetown University receiving a Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree in 1987. Dr. Mancini has been a General Dentist for 31 years and stays current through continuing education courses as well as memberships in the AGD, AAOSH, IAOMT, and East End Dental Society. He has also had advanced training to become an Invisalign Preferred Provider.
Dr. Mancini, his wife and two children live in Dix Hills and they enjoy spending time together. The family recently welcomed a new addition in, Harper, an Australian LabraDoodle. Dr. Mancini enjoys numerous outdoor activities. They include exercise, gardening, fishing, paddleboarding, golfing, water and snow skiing.
Leigh Wanamaker has been a dental hygienist for 25 years and has been working for Dr. Mancini since 2010. She was born and raised in Smithtown Long Island. Leigh graduated at the top of her class with an applied science degree from Farmingdale University School of Dental Hygiene. She is a member of the American Dental Hygienists Society, a member of the AAOSH American Academy of Oral Systemic Health. Leigh started in pediatric dentistry but most of her career has been spent in general dentistry on the East End. Leigh continues to stay current with the latest science, technology, and techniques in her profession. Leigh has a holistic approach to dental hygiene. She believes the mouth is the window to the health of the body. She is passionate about teaching patients to take charge of their own wellness - of both mouth and body. Leighs perfect leisurely day would be paddle boarding the East End waters with her dog Buddy, and finishing up the day with a picnic on the beach with her husband John.
