Dental implants represent the most recent and advanced method of replacing lost or missing teeth. Invented in 1952 by a Swedish surgeon named Per-Ingevar Branemark, dental implants today offer a highly effective, long-term solution for replacing missing teeth to reestablish a fully functional and attractive smile. Dental implants can be used to replace a single tooth, multiple teeth or all of the upper and/or lower teeth.

The process of full mouth restoration often involves rebuilding and/or replacing many, if not all of the teeth in the mouth, and can require the coordinated approach of a number of dental specialists. Candidates for full mouth restoration are individuals who have been cosmetically and functionally debilitated by extensive tooth loss, etc.

This remarkable technique requires only 4 implants in either the upper or lower jaw to support all of the replacement teeth for that dental arch. All-on-4 typically involves only one surgery to place all of the implants, avoids the need for additional bone grafting procedures, and provides the instant gratification of a full set of temporary teeth immediately on the same day as the initial procedure.

One of the dental solutions available for the treatment of multiple lost or missing is a removable denture. While a removable denture is an effective prosthetic appliance for restoring ones smile, there can be issues with stability that affects the comfort and function of the denture. However, there is a way to effectively address these problems with the placement of mini dental implants.

I have been a patient at Manchester Family Dental since 2005--they are awesome. The whole staff is professional and friendly. I have gotten Invisalign braces and retainer, fillings, a crown and regular cleanings and xrays. Everything has been pain free and I have had no problems or issues! I highly recommend them!

Great as always. Staff are great. They are thorough and always ask if I have any questions or concerns. They also take the time to listen. So very rare these days.

Didn't realize asking the dentist to update you on the work that was done is way to inconvenient for a quick call, conversation or returning just one of 10 emails

I had been to the office several times before. However this time it was an ugly tooth ache that brought me back this time. I was told the tooth had to be removed. Great along with being placed on the usual Amoxicillin 500mg I asked for a pain reliver. Well this where the fun began, the young lady behind the desk told me they will only give me ibuprofen 800. I tried to tell her I was on a blood and couldn't have it she said she would talk to the Dr. fine I replied. She got back to me stating that they called in Naproxen. I told her that I couldn't have that either. Now please keep in mind this wasn't my first visit and they had my records and was aware of my medical condition and history. I had just had a stomach bleed under no circumstances could I have these meds. The young lady I was dealing with was rude made me feel as if I was just trying to get pills. I was very insulted called back and left a message Dr. Darr I'm not sure if he received it. Called back again asked if anyone was there who had any knowledge of medicine. There wasn't so I asked about the other dentist since Dr. Darren had gone for the day. The young lady spoke with him. This was his advice I was scheduled to see the orthopedic surgeon across the hall but haven't met him yet. He wanted me to call and have this man prescribe meds to someone he hasn't even met. Of course this was impossible. We didn't even know each other. This dentist was asking another Dr. to put his license on the line for a stranger. Here's my question, would he do it? Up until this point I was happy there. Never did I ever think that Manchester family dental was a for profit only. The behavior I was seeing for the staff and Dr. both of them made me think differently. That they would put my health, safety and basically my life on the line. At one point I thought I was over reacting but No these are Dr.s not just that we expect the staff to have at the very least basic knowledge of medicine. Or in cases like mine a plan in mind for people who can't take the medicine that makes them and only them comfortable sometimes. People are different no one expects to go to a doctor for treatment only to have to fight for any medication needed afterwards. Any information they needed they could have called the cancer center. Manchester family dental had all the information to do this but choose not to. In essence putting my life in danger. I take no pleasure in writing this as stated earlier I was happy up until this point. Carla A. Smith

The office staff members are excellent - professional, personable, and most would know our names when we walked in. However, all evidence suggests that my tooth was vertically fractured by Dr. Daar while he was treating an infection. I had to drive to 4 appointments, to take care of said infection. The first 2 trips were somehow both just "evaluations" during which I received no treatment whatsoever. The 3rd trip was cancelled at the last minute. I was travelling from the Boston area. I was there taking care of my mom as she passed. I had explained that to him directly, but I'm sure he wasn't listening because he cancelled my 3rd appointment - 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. When I was finally treated on the 4th visit, he managed to fracture the tooth he was treating and neglected to either notice or mention it to me. I had to find out from my new dentist. Two years later I just received a bill for almost $500. Finally, It seems to me that Dr. Daar tries to maximize profits while using the least expensive materials. I'm basing that on experience with my daughter's constantly-discoloring crown (until we got it done right at Glastonbury Cosmetic Dentistry) and conversations that I overheard between him and one of many dentists who've come and gone from the practice over the years). I never (well, I guess 'rarely' now) write bad reviews, but I felt compelled in this instance. Do not recommend.

The staff was very pleasant and competent. I needed additional work, which was explained to me clearly. The out-of-pocket costs to me were clearly presented so there were no surprises or mysteries. I enjoyed this visit, which was my first, and look forward to a future relationship with this practice.

I was desperately looking for dental insurance information late on a Friday afternoon. Janine Kaufman returned my call at 4:57pm and gave me the information I needed -- and more! I was SO GRATEFUL! She was extremely pleasant, answered all my questions, gave me additional information that I didn't even know I needed, and put me at ease. When I thanked her, she said that the practice really makes it a point to return phone messages as quickly as possible. Thanks to Janine, all my concerns were put to rest and I was able to have a much more relaxing weekend! THANK YOU, JANINE!!

An ever changing cast of random dentists and hygenists with questionable qualifications. I had a crown placed that replaced one I had for 30 ish years. The replacement is now experiencing the same failure after 5 years. This establishment is a profit center. Also, as a public service announcement, if a dentist says you have a cavity, just wait and go to a different dentist in six months and don't mention the "cavity" and it is likely you won't have a cavity anymore.

They are professional and handled everything very well. Allison is an excellent hygenist! She's friendly and very gentle and explained things as she went. Dr. Daar is amazing, also. Never feel anything! Glad I found MFD!

In January of 2021 I called this office to inquire about the cost of getting a suspected cavity inspected. I was told that as a new patient the visit would be free. When I arrived, I told them that I was uninsured and that I needed to be made aware of the cost of any service before it was performed, and was reassured it would be free. They did a cleaning (without indicating any cost) and an x-ray (without even asking for consent), then tried to bill me for it at checkout. To their credit, they agreed to waive the bill that day due to the misunderstanding, which I was grateful for. However, 1 year and 4 months later they sent me a bill for those services which they had agreed to waive, and are refusing to correct it. This is fraudulent billing and I believe they are acting in bad faith, I cannot recommend working with them.

I had a filling done here about 2 years ago, and haven't been able to eat on that side of my mouth since. I went three times to Manchester family dental to have them fix it, and each time they said it will "go away". Yesterday, I went to a new dentist who did X-rays and discovered I have a fractured tooth due to the filling Manchester Family Dental did. My tooth is so damaged from their work I now need a crown.

My experience has not been the best at Manchester Family dental. They seem to be unorganized and the dentist Doesn't communicate with me at all. I am getting invisalign treatment and the dentist had to come in because I needed buttons to help the progress of my treatment. He didn't greet me and his body language and behavior the entire time with me and the tech helping him was very rude. I was also misinformed several times about my treatment and the cost. I was referred by a friend that was pleased with her experience but unfortunately I cannot say the same. I would not recommend Manchester Family Dental.
