Dr. Manchego was born and raised in Lima, Peru. From a very young age, he was fascinated with America and told his parents he would live here one day. At the young age of thirteen, his dream became reality when his parents made the decision to pursue a new life in the United States. Dr. Manchego and his family became US citizens and have called North Carolina home since 1995, spending some of this time in Lewisville.
Influenced by the example and teachings of his parents, Dr. Manchego understood early the importance of hard work and education. After graduating from Reynolds High School, he enrolled at NC State and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. It was during his time at college that he developed a strong affinity for dentistry after attending numerous dental community events and personally seeing the positive impact dentistry had on peoples lives, including his own family.
After a short stint working in the crop science and pharmaceutical industries, Dr. Manchego resumed his career goal to become a dentist and enrolled at Marquette University to complete his dental education. After graduation, Dr. Manchego moved back to North Carolina and gained valuable experience and continuing education while practicing as an associate for reputable dental practices in the Triad area, and as an adjunctive clinical instructor at the Forsyth Technical Community College Dental Assisting Program.
Gywn is our Office Administrator. She brings to us 30+ years of experience and knowledge in a general dentist setting including understanding of dental insurance and plans. Her passion is making sure our patients receive a great dental experience while making them feel they are a part of our dental family. She loves making smiles!!
Gywn relocated to Clemmons a year ago and loves the area. She thinks it is great to work close to home and be a part of her community. Gwyn has two grown children and three young grandchildren that keep her plenty busy.
Amy Le is our dental hygienist. She graduated from Forsyth Tech and her passion for dental hygiene was solidified after working with many patients in the clinic. Her favorite part is getting to connect with different people and build relationships with her patients. She loves educating her patients about dental health and seeing them leave with clean teeth!
When shes not in the office she enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends. Shes lived in the Winston-Salem area since she was young and enjoys watching movies and eating all different types of food. Regardless of what is eaten, she always remembers to floss afterwards!

I was so impressed with my experience at Mancheo Dental that I really was overcome with emotion. An incredible experience. I honestly could not have been more pampered if I had been at a spa. I highly recommend all dental issues be taken care of by this dentist and his crew.

Have you met anybody that likes to go to the dentist? Well, count me in because we found a practice we actually enjoy. From the minute you enter you're greeted by a friendly receptionist (Gwen), receive a timely and efficient cleaning, a thorough exam by "Dr. Joel" and, if treatment is necessary, complete explanation, painless and cost effective. We're "seniors" and this is the best practice ever!!!!

The people who work here are very friendly and considerate. It is conveniently located in the small town in which I live. I am always kept informed of my ever changing condition of my teeth. Dr. Manchego is polite and understanding and helps me to take better care of my teeth and gums.

I was a patient of Dr. Newsome for over 20 years. When she retired, I was skeptical of returning for Dr. Manchego's care. I have been pleased with the dental care that I have received by Dr. Manchego and his staff. I highly recommend Manchego Dental !

I chose Dr. Manchego because of his history, my fascination with the Peruvian culture and the distance of 1.2 miles from my home. When I called, I discovered they had bought the practice from my former dentist and had my records, which was great! Gwyn, my primary contact instantly made me feel welcome and and she is an incredibly nice, easy-going and down to earth person. My first visit today included thorough X-rays, gum check and discussion with Megan. She is truly the most gentle hygienist I have ever met and has a very sweet personality! Dr. Manchego, also an amazingly nice guy, checked my teeth and gums very thoroughly and showed me each X-ray, along with a comprehensive explanation of everything he found. I am thrilled to have found this professional yet relaxed practice with the best dentist, hygienist and support staff I have had in many years! Thank you all so much for the most excellent dental visit I have had since childhood! I have found my forever dental practice! :)

I have been to 2-3 dentist in my 46yrs but Dr Manchego is the first to take the time to really talk to me about my teeth and go over x-rays as well as options. This is very much appreciated. If you want a dentist that takes time come here! Also Megan is so easy with my cleanings I never dread coming in!!! Such a pleasant experience each time Highly recommend

Dr. Manchego and the staff was very friendly and helpful with my many questions on my first visit 6 months ago, and again today. They make you feel welcome and ease any anxiety you may have. Also, made sure you only get what care you wanted, and brings up recommended care if it is needed. Gwyn, at the front was very thorough with getting your information and insurance to make sure your billed correctly.
