In 1987 when I became a dentist, I was excited that I could take people out of pain with fillings and root canal treatments and restore their teeth with crowns. I was excited that I could take away their bad breath and bleeding gums and gum disease, or pyorrhea as it was called then. I could examine peoples mouths and check for oral lesions. I could play with tools and materials, and I had a Dr. in front of my name! Life was good
I am a product of tough nurturing. When I completed my fathers dentures, my dad declared, You may have gotten an A on the denture you made for me, but to me, you are a bad dentist. As you might imagine, I was shocked, and hurt.
Why dad? I asked. I tried so hard and your denture fits you so well. You are able to eat everything and the dentures dont even fall out of your mouth. I rambled on, trying to convince my father I deserved his approval.
Since then, dentistry has been a lifelong process of learning. I have kept my mind open to different concepts of diagnoses and treatments and spent many hours learning these methods.I learned how straight teeth begin from malaligned cranial bones and imbalanced jaw joints. I learned how different dental symptoms are related to sleep and breathing disorders and also how trauma from chewing can cause loss of teeth if the forces are not directed correctly. I learned comprehensive periodontal care. My experiences treating people since then have taught me that inflammation has a very powerful role to play throughout our body and inflamed traumatized muscles can cause a lot of systemic issues. I learned to believe that the whole body is connected!

Where to start. Dr. Mamta K Shah and her assistant Mariam are awesome. I can't thank enough them for there care and recommendation. They focus on what is right procedure to perfom on thooth to prevent future complications. I am so glad that i was recommend to Dr Mamta few years back. She is to go dr for your dentist needs!!! I will recommend her over and over. Thank you

Paid a visit after couple decades to resolve a dental situation which I felt only Dr Shah would understand. Was proved right as Sr Shah not only welcomed me back effusively and gave me a patient hearing, she was ready to recommend some alternative choices. Enough to say, I'm here to stay as well as recommend others. The Office was clean and cheerful and the Staff were super warm and friendly. Thanks

Dr. Mamta Shah is an awesome doctor and super caring. Even on off day she gave appt for my daughters tooth problem in a short notice. She believes in saving your tooth and prevention. I'm moved by her professionalism and work ethics. You rock Dr. Shah!! Cheers!

Dr. Shah has been our family dentist for over 25 years and it feels like visiting a friend 2x a year ! Her offices are huge, airy, super clean and state of the art. She is caring, open , an attentive listener to your needs and problems and flexible. She also is on top of alternate treatments and constantly enrolled herself in courses on overall and dental health and hygiene!

I cannot stress how amazing Dr. Shah is. I have a paralyzing fear of needles and she was willing to go on a 45 min walk with me to talk it out. I am moving to TX soon and she is what I will miss most.

I have been seeing Dr. Shah for so many years. I have to say that from the first time I entered her office with my young son, who needed some treatment, I really felt at home. My son had a very traumatic experience with my previous dentist, and a dear friend of mine recommended Dr. Shah to me. Dr. Shah just had the sensitivity and was patiently and so kindly talking to him. It was such a great experience for him. Dr. Shah is patient and really knows how to listen to her clients. I have had much work done with her and have always felt I am in professional and caring, experienced hands. She and all of her staff are super professional. She is our family dentist, and I have been recommending her to everyone I meet. If you are looking for a family dentist, look no further! I strongly recommend her! I have been seeing Dr Shah for my dental health for 5 years. I find her and her staff (Maryam) very professional and efficient. From fillings to root canals and crowns, I have them all. Dr Shah employs the right solution for a dental problem. She is gentle and her procedures are precise.

Amazing Doctor. Dr Mamta is very patient and does a thorough job. She is focused on not doing anything that can be avoided. Recently I had a tooth that chipped and she was very accommodative in getting an appointment and I walked out feeling happy. I do not mind driving 35 mins just to see her. This should explain my gratitude.

I am a patient of Dr. Mamta Shah since my birth 23 years ago. My family has been going longer, over 25 years. We like her professionalism, friendliness and dental skills so much, that even when we moved from Fremont to San Ramon 17 years back, we continued going to her for routine dental appointments and for dental problems. Everyone on the staff is also extremely friendly and professional.

Three generations of my family have been going to Dr Shah for decades. Her patient centric approach works for us. She is extremely good at what she does whether its my elderly parents or my finicky kids. She generally offers a holistic approach to dental care with strong emphasis on preventive care.
