Dr. Iyer was inducted as a Fellow in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow and has Fellowships in reputed organizations such as the Greater New York Academy of Prosthodontists, and the Dental Facial Esthetics Academy. He currently holds the position of Secretary for the American Academy of Implant Dentistry and regularly participates in volunteering for the Annual Meetings of the Academy as a Scientific Chair.
Dr. Davis Thomas successfully completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the prestigious Kasturba Medical College, India, in 1992. He then joined New York University (NYU) College of Dentistry in 1994, where he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) three years later. In 1998, he went on to complete one year of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at NYU.
In 2002, he established his first practice in Oakhurst, NJ and while in private practice, he took several Continuing Education courses at reputed US dental and medical schools in the field of TMJ/TMD and Orofacial Pain. To further his education in this area, Dr. Thomas joined the Post Graduate Fellowship in TMD and Orofacial Pain at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 2005. After completing the fellowship he then went on to receiving his Masters (MSD) in Orofacial Pain, also from UMDNJ. Dr.Thomas is now currently doing a Masters in Sleep Medicine (MSc Med) with the University of Sydney, Australia.

I have been coming to Dr. S. Iyer for many years. I'm so happy and pleased with his work through out the years and now I'm doing new treatment with him.I would not go anywhere but to him. Also his staff is so nice and very helpful it was good to see familiar faces from long ago..I feel at home here.

My self and my husband are really having a-great experience with my all the staff are wonderful and doctors are great especially dr Chitra did great work on my husband teeth even he was a very delicate case.Dr Iyer did wonderful with the implant part.I would like to mention all the staff especially Ms Saana for great help to recommend the office and for her wonderful help to dr Chitra for every visit we came to this great Dental clinic.

I had a pleasant experience here a few years back. I left after the office didn't accept a new insurance I had. August 2022, I have a new insurance. I called the office a few times to check if they accepted my insurance, was never able to get a hold of anyone. I left 2 voicemails inquiring about services. I went online, submitted a request appointment and asked about insurance. I received a call back 2.5 weeks later. They were calling for someone else and but I had been trying to connect with the office for some time and no one had reached out to me. She was sweet and scheduled my appointment for me told me they accepted my insurance . When i arrived at the office I didn't fill any paperwork out. I sat in the waiting room for 5 minutes and was called in and waited in the exam room for 40 minutes. When the dental assistant came in she asked what I needed stated that I didn't have insurance on fill, I told her no one asked me for any information besides the time I booked the appointment. She told me I might not be covered for the implant I needed without checking my insurance. I asked her before we did anything if she could confirm that the office accepted my insurance. She took the card came back a few minutes later, saying let's do your X-rays first and then the consultation with the doctor. I asked if she had checked my insurance, she told me no she'll check after because it will take her some time to do so. I kindly asked for my insurance card back, and said thank you for your time but I'm just going to go and I left. I believe their services would have been good but I honestly didn't like the disorganization, the amount of time I had to wait, and the fact that I was told something probably wouldn't be covered before they checked the insurance.

I've been coming to Smile USA since 2003. My last visit was 2009. I've been out of the country for almost 10 years. Today I have a dental issue and I had to come back to the dentist, Dr. Iyer, because I know he'll take the utmost care of me. Sure enough! My experience at this dental office is bad. 1. I called to make appointment with dr. Iyer but I was seen by another doctor. 2. They charge $150 additional fee for implant consultation. I am willing to pay if it's an actual consultation. however it turns out to be a 5 mins quick conversation during my annual checkup. its totally unreasonable. 3. The dentist (I don't recall her name) had very heavy hand, was not gentle at all on my mouth and gum. The cleaning experience was awful. (the hygienist left half way for other patients and the dentist took over) 4. The dentist pointed out I had two cavities need to fill. However that's a liar. I had it double checked at other dentist office, he ensured me my current fillings are perfectly sealed and no fixing is needed at all! 5. I was the first patient, arrived before the office was open, however, I still waited for more than 30 mins after my scheduled time.

Very profesional and friendly staff! Longer wait than expected for a filling and a cleaning even with a morning appointment. Took 4 hours in all. UPDATE: So sad to see a nice place have an unprofessional person working for them. I had made up my mind about continuing to provide my service and even made a follow up appointment for more work to get done but then I received a hostile reply to my original 4 star review that was honest in my experience. Customer service is everything and that just cost them a steady patient and reduced to 1 star. Seems if you don't give them 5 stars they will bash you publicly and that's not how you treat new patronage.
