4. The staff is aware that dental treatment can be an anxiety-provoking experience for some patients. Every effort is made to schedule high anxiety patients at less busy times of our workday. That way staff can take the extra time needed to help the patient relax. If necessary, anti-anxiety medication can be prescribed to help reduce stress and provide the patient with a more positive treatment experience.
Dr. Musgrave graduated from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans in 1986.Dr. Musgrave and his wife moved to Tucson that same year to launch his dental career. He opened his private practice four years later and has been providing quality dental care for over 30 years. He is a family friendly dentist who loves his job.

The set up of the office is very strange with the receptionist outside of the waiting room. Additionally, I was not pleased with the receptionist at all. I do not like that last November they were not having their office staff wearing masks. I left the practice due to many factors but my husband stayed and just received awful customer service by the office staff and well and left his appt after they left him waiting for 30 minutes. I'm sure he'll be leaving a poor review as well.

My son and I have been with Dr Musgrave and his team for more than 10 years and highly recommend them. He and his team (many of whom have been with him for years, including his awesome hygienist Ray) are gentle, compassionate, efficient, and effective. They've always been flexible with scheduling and have offered payment plans when needed. We're happy that someone recommended him to us and hope to extend that recommendation forward.

The hygienist Eva is fantastic. She is friendly, extremely patient, understanding, and gentle. Both dentists, the front desk staff, and the assistants have been great as well. Dr. Musgrave has always explained everything clearly to me and the front desk staff has been very helpful with billing to make sure my insurance covers everything.

I want to warn any potential or current clients that Malcolm Musgrave is more of a salesman than a dentist. He recommended a procedure that no other dentist before or since has said is necessary. He wanted to schedule it for a couple weeks later, and it was hundreds of dollars. It was hard to get clear answers to my questions and concerns about it. It immediately raised red flags. I got a second opinion and they said they would NOT recommend that procedure and are very glad I didn't get it. If you go here and are told "you have a problem that no one else has noticed before and you need to get it fixed, now, by me"-- DO YOUR RESEARCH. I suspect some of these glowing 5-star reviews are coming from people who believed the ruse that he was their hero. I'm glad I didn't fall for it.

Stay away! They automatically set up a cleaning appointment for me, even though I told them I moved and would no longer be a patient ever again! Then after I "missed" my appointment (that I was never informed of and had no clue about) they billed me $35. Filing with the better business bureau as well. Please stay clear, Dr. Musgrave is not even a very great dentist. I've only had below average experiences.

This office and staff are the best of the best! Doctor Musgrave is kind, caring and funny. I did not go to the dentist for years as a child and I walked right in there and have been given above and beyond service. Doctor Musgrave will talk to you about any issues, concerns or questions you have and will spend all the time you need to get your questions answered. I have been seeing them for over a year and there kindness and knowledge in the field is insurmountable. They will make any dreadful dentist visit a pleasant and painless experience. These guys are the best practice here in Tucson! If you are looking for honest, caring and professional dentistry this is your one stop shop.

Had a root canal 5 years ago that was not done right. Got an infection now because of how the metal pole was placed in the tooth, so now had to get a second root canal (with a specialist) and have a cyst above the tooth removed. Metal pole was sticking out from the back of my tooth. Taking the cyst out might cause me to lose my tooth and have to get an implant, which is extremely expensive. Asked for him to re-do the back of the filling again back when he did the root canal because it was uncomfortable and even then it was not done right.

Dr. Musgrave and his team are so wonderful. They treat you like family. I've been coming here for about almost 6 months , and ever since then I have not had any tooth pain, and I'm continuing my plan with them . They explain the payment process easily. Which is great. Not only that the doctor is gentle and answers all your questions honestly and truthfully. They are professional and they really want to help! Love this place!

He does the least painful shots. Really friendly. Answers your questions, and is happy to explain anything you want even if it is about a tooth/mouth/gum problem you don't have. Reasonable prices too. Extra benefit: there are least 2 different related specialists in the the same building structure. If you have a problem that can't be solved by 1 specialist, then they can send you straight to the other. It's a 1min walk max. And they are friends who will work together if you need. There is an office in the complex for every type of doctor and specialist. You can see everyone in the same day in the same place.

You'd be hard pressed to find a more caring doctor and crew anywhere else in Tucson. Dr. Musgrave, always in trouble with his team for taking "too much" time with his patients. Who does that anymore? I don't mind waiting because I know they are going to take their time with me and my family when it's our turn - and they always prove us right! Friendly, experienced, and professional folks all around.
