Dr. James A. Oshetski earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland Baltimore College of Dental Surgery and completed a General Practice Residency program at the Baltimore Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC). After completing his residency, Dr. Oshetski was invited to serve as the clinical supervisor of the General Practice Residency Program, where for many years he provided lecture and clinical supervision to GPR residents in the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant rehabilitations.
Dr. Oshetski is a nationally recognized specialist in implant dentistry and restorative dentistry. Utilizing digitally-driven dental technology, Dr. Oshetski focuses on advanced restorative dentistry, sedation dentistry, and dental implant rehabilitation. Dr. Oshetski is an educator, guest lecturer, and speaker for Biohorizons implant systems. He founded Oshetski Implant Seminars and an AAID study club in Maine to enhance educational opportunities in implant dentistry throughout New England. His focus on streamlining treatments, enhancing outcomes, and sharing his experience with other dentists through mentorship and teaching is a testament to his commitment to his patients and profession. Recently, Dr. Oshetski was inducted as a Fellow in the International College of Dentistry, an honor based on service and giving back to the profession and underserved patients.
In his extensive VAMC and private practice experience, Dr. Oshetski has placed and restored thousands of dental implants. Dr. Oshetski is a nationally recognized expert in implant dentistry, achieving Diplomate status with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, Fellowship with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, and Diplomate status with the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, a credential bestowed to only 400 dentists worldwide since its inception in 1969. Dr. Oshetski is an active participant in many dental societies and lectures nationally on multiple topics including digital technology, complication management, anterior esthetics, and full-arch rehabilitations.
Dr. Jennifer Brunacini grew up in Columbus, Ohio. She earned a BS and MA in Social Work at the Ohio State University prior to graduating with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State College of Dentistry in 2009. Dr. Brunacini was nominated by her peers to the Pierre Fauchard Academy, an honor society that recognizes integrity and ethics in dentistry. She is also an adjunct clinical professor with the New England College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Brunacini began her career with the National Health Service Corps, and throughout her career, she focused on treating underserved and homeless populations in Cumberland, Sagadahoc, and Waldo counties. Her commitment to public health and general dentistry extends to her volunteer work as a dental provider with Oasis Free Dental Clinic and Greater Portland Health.
Dr. Brunacini enjoys the technical and scientific aspects of dentistry, and she is excited to join our team at James A. Oshetski, DDS as a general dentist and incorporate state-of-the-art dental technology in her general dentistry care. Dr. Brunacini is a compassionate and warm person who combines her skillful approach with patient-centered care to provide exceptional dental treatment. Dr. Brunacini lives with her husband, Brian, her son Leo, and dog Zoe. In her free time, she enjoys reading, skiing, and exploring the ocean.

Amanda joined the practice in October 2018. She brings years of customer service experience. She is excited to be a part of Dr. Oshetskis team and looks forward to building lasting relationships with the patients. When Amanda is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two dogs. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and crafting.
Vanessa has been part of the practice for over 15 years and has worn many different hats during that time. She is committed to the practice and loves the relationships that she has built over the years. When Vanessa is not working she is enjoying the outdoors with her husband or spending quality time with her nieces and nephews
Abby joins us from theUniversity of New England where she was a Dental Assistant and an Infection Control Manager. Abby has been a dental assistant for a little over two years. Her favorite part of assisting is meeting new people. When Abby is not working she enjoys spending time with her husband and riding around on her motorcycle.
Jenna joined us as a Dental Assistant in July. She grew up in Maine currently resides in Portland. Her favorite part about being a dental assistant is getting to know her patients and seeing their smiles improve and the confidence it gives them. In Jennas free time she enjoys spending time with her friends, skiing, live music, and her cat Millie. On the weekends you can find Jenna bartending in the Old Port.
Eden attended the University of New England where she played basketball and studied dental hygiene. She was born and raised in Maine and currently lives in Portland. Outside of work, Eden enjoys traveling, live music, and spending time with her family and friends.
Meg graduated magna cum laude in May of 2016, from the University of Maine Augusta- College of Bangor. She was born and raised in the small town of Bradford, Maine. She and her high school sweetheart moved to the Augusta area directly after graduation and have not looked back since! When Meg is out of the office, you are likely to find her camping, boating, causing trouble with her beloved nieces and nephews, or taking adventures with her dog, Annie. She looks forward to providing exceptional oral care for the greater Brunswick area!
