I had a wonderful experience! The reception staff (Mary-Beth) was fantastic, super friendly, helpful, and kind. I was seen on time (even a little early) and Dr. Wang was quick with my extraction. No pain!! The procedure was discussed in advance and I felt very comfortable that I understood the after effects (if any). Highly recommend Maine Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery!

I Waited 25 years too long to get my wisdom teeth removed. I was told 25 years ago that I should have my wisdom teeth removed and I was too apprehensive to get out of my comfort zone and have someone pull teeth out of my mouth. I finally got to the point that the pain in my jaw and teeth became unbearable that I decided to have them removed. From Mary Beth and staff in the front office to Kelly and Dr. Wang in the "tooth extraction room", I couldn't have been more impressed. Very welcoming and smooth process. The discussion between Dr. Wang and Kelly about hiking, their family, and even the queen's funeral....took my mind off the extraction and was interesting and funny. I would recommend to anyone. Great experience....like I said I wasted 25 years worrying about nothing...this is also my 1st online review ever...if that says how pleased I was. Thank you Maine Oral Surgery Team. -Paul Croteau

If I could I would give this place no stars, mr, whang was very rude and not nice, I got told I needed my wisdom teeth removed and I get their at 7:30 and this lady that works their said we don't open until 8, But they open at7:30 I get their and dr whang was all high and mighty and was basically talking to me like a 2 year old, telling me I can't make choices of my own, and we get their and he says we won't be doing the surgery, I just drove 3 hours to get here and u couldn't call me yesterday to tell me that, I'm very not pleased how he treated me and my opinions on stuff never coming to this doctor again

They did great removing several teeth for my daughter. The office was clean and the staff professional. The women in the front office were a pleasure to deal with.

Had heard all great experiences about this place but for me personally not so much...my 1st appointment was to meet my dr and he wasn't pleasant at all.. he (Dr.Wang) judged me when he found out I was on a specific medication , he judged me right away and said he wasn't going to give me pain medication.. which right after told him I didn't want any anyways so don't worry about it..months after waiting, I go into my appointment for for my procedure which he seemed nice that day.. a week later I called the office saying that I think i have an infection and when I go in to show him my issue (my face was a little swollen on one side) he laughs at me and i actually cried in the room cause I knew he wasn't going to be any help or have any empathy for me.. I wish I would have gotten help my gums were infected in more than one place ...im using old antibiotics to treat it cause I don't want to go back there...would rather go to the e.r and wait hours before being treated like that again...

I was extremely pleased with the professionalism of the staff at Maine Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Associates, beginning with Mary Beth at the office window to Dr. Gallup and Dr. Wang during my many visits for my dental implants. I would recommend them to anyone and I was completely satisfied. Thank-you again Maine Oral Surgery!

One of the best places for your oral surgeon needs. The office is clean and the staff are very friendly. I'll be going here for all my future oral surgery, implants, extractions, and much more! Give them call today if you've seen your general dentist and have a referral.

They did amazing job with my boyfriend when he went to get his wisdom teeth out. They were all so nice and respectful the waiting lobby area was clean . As well as the bathroom they had everything ready for us; waited as little as 10 min and was on our way! Would highly recommend this place to get your teeth removed.

I'd give zero stars if I could. I had all my tops taken out Monday and wasn't told until I arrived that they would NOT be providing pain medication. I was put under general anesthesia and sent home immediately after. Here it is Saturday my face is severely bruised and still swollen and they left a large obvious piece of molar in my mouth. They also GLUED in my temporary denture right away. The pain is unreal. I urge anyone needing teeth removed to not go to this place. T

Called to schedule an appointment and all she did was hang up on me 3 times. Worst service I've had in years

I am completely traumatized by my expierience here. I had 2 impacted wisdom teeth removed, the process was explained in great length and i thought i was in good hands. I was put to sleep, and the nurse/dental assistant who assisted was incredibly rude. I was in horrific pain that night and the day following sent home with nothing for pain. I called 3 days later crying with my face 5x the size and unable to ope. My mouth even a cm, begging for help and that same woman said "yep that happens i dont know what to tell you" i called back 6 days later in unbearable pain after not being able to eat or hardly drink water for that matter. The secretary's were very kind and compassionate and told me to come in right away. I saw a differenr oral surgeon who was shocked i wasnt on antibiotics or pain medication and told me i most likely have an infection and lock jaw. Today is day 10 and ive lost 11lbs do to not being able to open my mouth to eat and hardly swallow liquids. I still have a rock solid golfball sized lump on my neck and jaw and im supposed be seen 5 days from now to follow up. Horrific expierience. Thank you to the front of the house for showing me more empathy and compassion then the health-care professionals.

Who-ever has had an bad experience please try them again! Astonishingly nerveless procedure (for the most part) I have terrible anxiety as it is. Upon my first appointment I hadn't been to the Dentist in quite some time. I was nervous to say the least. Until about 3 minutes in the chair where I was treated with nothing short of dignity and concern! I have a tiny mouth and knew it was going to be challenging but Dr.Green and the lovely, nurse(s) kept me calm, was gentle, as well as non judgemental. You can tell they truly care, they arent there just for a paycheck. Thank you to all at this location!

I have had two teeth extracted from here along with my wisdom teeth surgery in high school. Everyone in the office is very friendly and helpful. I had an emergency tooth problem and they were able to get me in right away when my original appointment would have been in May. I have local numbing for the extractions and there is no pain. I wouldn't want to be put to sleep for just an extraction- and if the only reason you do is because you are scared don't be scared. They are all so friendly and kind. Dr. Gallagher is very quick and gentle. Dr. Green who is no longer in Maine was excellent as well. No more pain- this is the next day and I feel better than ever. If you've had a bad experience here I suggest giving another try because maybe it was just your anxiety of the dentist to begin with. I am So happy with Maine Oral and Maxiofacial in Auburn! And a big shout out to Mary Beth- she is amazing!

I am very thankful and impressed by our experience here. My 8yo son with autism and brittle bone disease needed two molars extracted. This terrified him and me because I knew this would be an ordeal, and that he wouldn't handle this new thing well. AND was told this would be a long wait. He already was struggling to eat. I was anxious and freaking out, probably worse than my miserable little guy. We were referred here. And scheduled for August. We got moved up into a cancelation slot. That was awesome. The removal went smooth. They really did well with him. It was fast. I wasted a lot of energy being worried. Thank you all.

In so much pain to only be using ibprophen and Tylenol. My face is numbed up but I'm still in alot of pain and it's only gonna get worse. Don't go here if you need stronger pain pills then ibprophen.

Very disappointed... when I went there I was 13 and had super impacted molars by my wisdom teeth. I'm still having issues and I'm almost 18. To on top of that the guy acted so arrogant he thought I was lying and didn't believe me at all. He kept making me wait 6 months and wanted me to keep waiting. I actually have to get X-rays to see if he actually removed them because I'm still having so much discomfort and pain.
