Dr. Al Attar completed his BA in Biology from the University of Virginia in 2001. In 2005, he graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. Following graduation, Dr. Al Attar spent a 2 year residency at the Hunter McGuire Veterans Administration Center in Richmond, Virginia. As part of his residency, he acquired certification to do IV sedation as well as training in advanced dental procedures such as Implant placement and restoration.
Throughout his career, Dr. Al Attar has had the opportunity to work in offices from Toronto, Ontario and Buffalo, NY and then home to Northern Virginia. With over 10 years of experience as an Associate Dentist, Dr. Al Attar decided it was time to open his own ideal family dental practice. After finding the perfect practice in Berryville, VA Main Street Smiles was formed!

I visited Main Street Smiles for getting a tooth pulled.. Dr. Alattar and the staff were very comforting with excellent bedside manner and put me at ease throughout the procedure. I had almost no post op pain. Highly recommend Main Street smiles to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and caring dentist.

The staff were all welcoming and personable. I felt very much personally regarded and individually provided specialized care. The dental hygienist is the best I have ever encountered. Her friendly, I formative, thorough, and professional examination and cleaning are unsurpassed in my experience. Definitely warrants recognition reflective by increased salary and bonus, in my opinion.

Excellent dentist! Excellent dental hygienist! Dental game changer... They were very accommodating considering I was not an established patient, but am now. I was seen promptly for a cracked tooth and will be returning for my cleaning and any future needs. Incredible knowledge of all things dental and related. Gentle, kind, patient, and thorough. NEVER have I felt so relaxed during or after a dental appointment. I just can't rave enough about Main Street Smiles!

I love the dentist and the office staff. He is very well rounded and will explain anything you do or don't understand. He is a very gentle person. He helped me save a back molar that had a old filling come out. He was able to refill the tooth without being a Root canal, It's stayes for now 4 and a 1/2 years. Best dentist and staff around. I love how clean my teeth feel after my they are clean. Like I said even the hygienists are very very gentle And do an awesome job cleaning your teeth and making them look beautiful!! They will not tell you things you do not need done in your mouth. I highly recommend anybody and everybody to come here!!

My appointment was for a cleaning. The appointment started on time and was pleasurable. Stacy was great, I enjoyed the cleaning. You usually do not associate pleasurable with dental work. Dr Attar is great also. I recommend Main Street Smiles to all!!

Dr Al Attar and his entire staff are the best! Our teenager just recently went for the first time and ENJOYED her appointment. She felt heard and was so happy to have her dental issues explained clearly. Our other family members who see him regualrly could not appreciate him more. We have sent many friends to their office. We would not go anywhere else! Great Dentist, Dental Assistant and office staff!
