Dr. Zarrinfar has over 23 years of experience and is very comfortable working with all members of your family of any age. He not only has extensive experience working with children, but his seven years of practice at Mercy Hospital gives him the knowledge to work with medically compromised patients.
Dr. Zarrinfar earned his Bachelors Degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California at San Diego in 1993, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1997. After graduating from dental school, he immediately went on to complete a one year Advanced General Practice Residency at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, where he gained valuable clinical skill in Oral Surgery, General Medicine and Pediatric Dentistry. Following the completion of his residency program in 1998, he was invited to join Mercy Medical Center as an attending dentist, where he practiced until 2005.
After moving to Northern Virginia in 2005, Dr. Zarrinfar established his private practice in Purcellville,Virginia, and in 2014 in Ranson West Virginia where he is currently practicing at both locations.
He believes continuing education is the key to providing the best quality dental care. Since his graduation, he has attended over 1100 hours of continuing education in all aspects of dentistry and has been awarded fellowship status in the International College of Oral Implantology. He is currently working towards achieving fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
With a commitment to community services, he volunteered to travel to Indian Reservations in Arizona to help make dentures for many Native-Americans. He also volunteers at Loudoun Community Dental Clinic to provide free dental services to low income and underprivileged families.
Dr. Zarrinfar has been very active in several dental organizations. He has served as the President of the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry in 2009 and is currently serving as the chairperson on the Council of Legislation. He also served as a delegate for the Virginia Dental Association and the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Zarrinfar is an active member of the following organizations: ADA, AGD, ICOI, and AADC.
Dr. Chantarat (Jan) Techapanit has been practicing general dentistry in the Northern Virginia area since 2006. She completed her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Howard University College of Dentistry , where she was awarded The Percy A. Fitzgerald Memorial Award for outstanding achievement in Clinical Fixed Prosthodontics.
Dr. Techapanit is committed to providing her patients with the best care. She is constantly taking continuing education courses and attending virtual seminars in order to keep up to date with the latest dentistry trends. Dr. Techapanit provides a wide range of restorative, cosmetic and preventative dental services to patients of all ages. She believes in treating her patients with honesty and compassion. She loves seeing her patients with healthy, happy, and confident smiles.

This is a wonderful dentist and the staff are exceptional. I am very afraid of dental work and the drill, but Dr. Zarrinfar puts me at ease and never hurts me. If you need a great dentist, go to Main Street Family Dentistry!

I've had a lot of work done to my teeth since I was very little and like to think I'm a good judge of dentist and their technicians, I've been to many. I just recently started going to Dr. Zarrinfar's practice and I must say, they are AMAZING!!!!!!!! Megan the technician took care of me and was extremely gentle working around the teeth, which was a nice change! Dr. Zarrinfar strategically came up with game plan for me, which relieved any anxiety I'd had. Also, the front desk staff members were very warm and welcoming. Overall it was a great experience!

We have been going to see Dr. Zarrinfar since we moved to Round Hill, over 18 years ago. They are pretty awesome. They have a very personable staff (Megan, Jennifer, Jessica, Andrea, Heather, Amanda and Kelly, hope I am not missing anyone). They are almost like family. Dr. Z walks you through what he is doing and they really take good care of you there. My daughter now a senior in high school wants to be a dentist/orthodontist since she was 7 years old. It was Megan and Dr. Z that impressed her enough to want to study it in college. The place is very clean and any time I see people ask on social media where is the best dentist in town is, I totally recommend or write "ditto" when others recommend Main Street Family Dentistry.

If you are looking for one of most patient dentists to ever live, Dr. Z is the best for you and your family. As for me and my three children (10 and under), Dr. Z took the time to be so patient, calming, and unbelievably kind to my kids that I cannot even begin to express my gratefulness. He can take a stressful day going out to the dentist with three children and turn it into an enjoyable experience. Thank you Dr. Z for being so professional and so kind. Shout out to the staff because they are awesome too.

"We love Dr. Zarrinfar! He is hands down by far the best dentist we have ever had. He is amazing working with kids. We have six kids and have moved often, and experienced several different dentists, and pediatric dentists. Some dentists would not work with my young kids, and would send me to Pediatric Dentistry's which is more money for my insurance. My kids struggled there, even with all the bells and whistles they provided. Dr. Zarrinfar is excellent, honest, kind, quick, and patient. Even my 5 year old had a cavity filled there without numbing and sat without any complaint. Cannot rave enough about him. Thank you Dr. Zarrinfar for treating our family so well. And the front office staff is awesome to work with as well. They always greet you with enthusiasm. They treat you with kindness, respect, and courtesy."
